What are the tips for picking up a visa at the Thai consulate in Vientiane?

Picked up our passport and visa at the Thai consulate in Vientiane. No problem as long as you make an appointment when filing the application.

If taking a cab or tuk tuk to the consulate, suggest you make a copy a map to get there to show the driver.

They go in numerical order for accepting applications and for issuing the visas so if you have number 250 in the queue don't go rushing back to pick up your visa at 1:30 in the afternoon.

You have to wait until your number comes up.
