Hi guys, Applied at Ho Chi Minh City 4 days ago for workcation and now I have been requested for further documents. Initially I have provided 6 months of payslips and bank statements, also highlighted the transactions. The only difference here is I did no provided tax statements.

In this case do i re upload what I did initially along with tax summary? Thank you guys!

Hello everybody,

I have some questions regarding the DTV process in vietnam.

Do they ask for 3 months bank statements showing the 500k baht or is the current bank statement enough?

Do they ask for payslips from a company along with the contract?

If i am a self employed online coach but not receiving any income atm. What do i upload as proof of being self sufficient?

And do they ask for travel insurance aswell?

I hope someone with recent experience can help?🙏😊

Would be really appreciated

Hello everyone, I need some advice. I’ve just applied for the DTV in the UK embassy, but I accidentally selected “freelancer” instead of “employee.” Now, they’re asking for supporting documents: a self-assessment tax return, statement of accounts, or an accountant’s letter, which I don’t have.

Would it be ok to submit my payslips instead and explain that I made a mistake in the application?

Thanks in advance

Hey everyone, I have submitted my DTV visa application, and gotten a request for additional documents. Most of the documents were easy to get, however they are asking for payslips from April, March and May.

My contract shows that I started working 1st of May, meaning I obviously only have 1 month payslip to show. They're essentially asking for payslips from my company from before I actually started working.

However, I have an extra written letter from my company CEO showing the duration of my contract, and the amount I will be getting paid in the coming months + showing that I can indeed work remotely etc.

Any thoughts on this being sufficient... or am I screwed? 😎

Does anyone know how long you need to be working online, to apply for the DTV? For example, are 3 months of back payment from the company needed when submitting your bank statements?

Regarding "remote worker" category and payslips for application via Hanoi in February 2025:

Are payslips necessary to submit or best way forward? Explain situation in a cover letter?

Background: I am employed since March 2024, but for technical reasons, the company I am working for was only able to hire me as a full-time service worker in 2024. This means, in 2024, my company required me to write them invoices and they paid me my monthly salary based upon these invoices. Therefore, I do not have any payslips for 2024, but my bank statement shows the monthly salary transfer.

I am receiving my first salary with a payslip this month in January 2025.

How to deal with this situation when applying? Any suggestions welcome!

Three days after submission, Ho Chi Minh authorities requested additional documents, including six months of bank statements (not just the balance), company profile information, proof of qualifications for the role, payslips, and more evidence of my current location. I provided a hotel booking, passport stamp into Vietnam, boarding card, and a selfie outside the hotel with the keycard.

Compiling the PDF under 3MB was tricky on my Mac. I dragged photos and screenshots into Pages, exported them as “good” quality, and combined individual PDFs using the Preview app. Fingers crossed for approval!

I had to extend my flight as approval by Friday seems unlikely. The fee to change was only 1500 baht. I’m considering heading to the beach instead of staying in Ho Chi Minh for another week, though they might still request an interview.

Applying in Ho Chi Minh City now - is a tax return an essential requirement if you are a remote worker? Or payslips and a letter of confirmation of employment enough.

The admin person at my company are on holiday for a few weeks and I can't find my tax return

Any help would be appreciated
