Hi everyone,

I’m applying for the DTV and recently started a remote job with a company in Brazil, but I don’t have payslips yet, I’m living in Sydney Australia now.

For those who already applied or got approved:

Were payslips required?

Is a remote work letter enough instead of a contract?

Is it ok if the employer is also the financial sponsor? (I need payslip if the company will be my sponsor? )

Did you translate company documents?

Would really appreciate any real experiences. Thanks!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion focuses on the documentation needed for a Thai DTV visa application, particularly for individuals working remotely without payslips. Key points include the necessity of payslips, the acceptability of a remote work letter in lieu of a contract, and whether an employer can act as a financial sponsor. Experiences shared indicate a common requirement for 3 months of payslips, though some applicants have managed using a combination of explanations and previous employment payslips. Concerns about financial ties between employers and applicants are raised, suggesting that direct family members may be more readily accepted as sponsors.

You should start working for 2-3 months from your current location before submitting your application. You will be safer from rejected and lose your application fee.

Most of the embassies require at least 3 months of payslips going into your account+ 500k baht in your savings account. Nothing stops you from trying earlier but then don't come back here saying "my application got rejected even tho I gave them everything they asked for"

I can’t speak for all embassies but I doubt they’re going to accept a sponsor who isn’t direct family. You might get lucky but an employer has no real ties to you so they can’t really guarantee 5 years of financial support.

I applied from the UK and did get asked to provide 3 months of payslips as an additional info request. I had only been with the company for just over a month so only had 1 payslip available from them. I drafted an explanation letter, added it to the start of the payslips pdf and included a few payslips from my previous employer as well. This was accepted but I may have just been lucky.
