What should I do if I can't provide requested payslips for my DTV visa application?

Hey everyone, I have submitted my DTV visa application, and gotten a request for additional documents. Most of the documents were easy to get, however they are asking for payslips from April, March and May.

My contract shows that I started working 1st of May, meaning I obviously only have 1 month payslip to show. They're essentially asking for payslips from my company from before I actually started working.

However, I have an extra written letter from my company CEO showing the duration of my contract, and the amount I will be getting paid in the coming months + showing that I can indeed work remotely etc.

Any thoughts on this being sufficient... or am I screwed? 😎

TLDR : Answer Summary
The individual has submitted a DTV visa application but received a request for additional documents, specifically payslips from March, April, and May. They only have one payslip from May as they started working on the 1st of that month. Although they've obtained a letter from their CEO detailing their contract and salary, they are uncertain if it will suffice. Comments from the community suggest providing an explanation in a cover letter, sending the documents currently available, and considering any other additional proof of income or financial stability.

They could have sent a standard description. Write a cover letter in which you explain what you've just explained in your post. Send the pay slip you already have. Try to think of something you might have, to show on top of that. You haven't sent the extra letter written by the CEO of your company yet, have you?

I have not yet sent the letter by the CEO. They requested a letter from the CEO regarding if I am allowed to work abroad or not. My CEO mentions in this letter how much I will be earning in the common months, and how long I will be working for. Also mentioning that my start date was May 1st.

I was thinking of showing this + a cover letter showing my 1 current month of invoice and also explaining the situation as a whole

Participant(e) anonyme Where did you apply BTW? If their request for further documents mentioned specifically "a letter stating that you can work remotely", then I guess you should be fine if your letter says something along the lines of "work remotely from anywhere in the world". If it mentioned specifically "a letter stating that you can work remotely from Thailand", then don't risk it, get a letter mentioning Thailand.

I am applying out of the Embassy in Oslo. They did not mention having to work remotely from Thailand, so the letter from my CEO explicitly states "The worker can work remotely from abroad".

Participant(e) anonyme Should be fine then. And "work remotely from abroad" is most probably clear enough in your case.

why would mentioning being allowed to be based in Thailand be an issue?

This is not what I wrote. The issue would be to mention "work remotely" when the embassy/consulate expects "work from Thailand".

Participant(e) anonyme Does the letter specify "work from Thailand"? Make sure it does. Some embassies/consulates insist on it.

Participant(e) anonyme Yes, way to go. Does not look bad at all.

If you can figure out anything else you could show to them, enclose it. Maybe proof of finances that do not qualify for the 500K THB (brokerage account, etc.).

If this letter from your employer comes on top of the one pay slip you have, it does not look bad at all from my point of view.

Did you apply as a business owner , stacation digital nomad etc? If so they want to see your paystubs so they can see if qualify under the financial requirements for this visa. You are not screwed at least not yet. Tell me more how you applied and what you sent to them so we can see why they are asking you for this information

Yes, I applied as a digital nomad, contracted for a company in my home country. I included proof of 500k baht over the last 6 months, work contract + company registration and a cover letter explaining my role and what I will be doing (stating that I am not going to work with thai clients etc.)

Anonymous participant ok so you have ABC right. I think they want to see how you have the 500k . Did hou have any recent deposits to make the 500k requirement. Was the money there for at least 3 months. When you get paid do they send the money to that account so they can match each deposit each month ? What embassy are you currently applying at?

Anonymous participant Did you have clients before this current contract? If so also provide previous payslips or bank statement with those deposits as well.
