Hello everyone, I need some advice. I’ve just applied for the DTV in the UK embassy, but I accidentally selected “freelancer” instead of “employee.” Now, they’re asking for supporting documents: a self-assessment tax return, statement of accounts, or an accountant’s letter, which I don’t have.
Would it be ok to submit my payslips instead and explain that I made a mistake in the application?
Thanks in advance

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inadvertently selected 'freelancer' on their DTV application and is now facing challenges as the embassy requires documents they do not have. They are considering submitting payslips instead, prompting concerns from the community about addressing the mistake and providing necessary supporting documentation.
If you are an employee, you also need a letter from your HR stating you are allowed to work remotely from Thailand. Did you not initially supply this? If so, it should have been clear that you are an employee. Or did you select freelancer because you didn’t want to have to supply this document?
They requested for this HR document as an extra, that I have and will provide now.
Honestly, I am not sure what happened, Im assuming it was my mistake as my husband applied at the same time and wasnt asked for a self assessment. Any advice is more than welcome
