Hello folks.

Just a quick question. I've got a reply via email from Thai insurance company, where they said that I need 2 kind of insurances in order to enter Thailand. I don't understand why do they say so, because the consulate's website clearly states that only 1 insurance needed. This is really confusing. Please, anyone who recently got an STV visa and could enter Thailand, would you please clarify this issue. Sorry in advance if this was asked before, I can't find information elsewhere.

Alert! Must use eVisa now

I thought I had my TR single entry visa application completed days ago. I used the “apply online” button on the consulate site – Los Angeles. I then received a stock notice that I must REAPPLY on [members only]/

So I must start all over and upload all the documents. The Support Documents page is confusing. I must attach a “declaration” (no description). What is that? What is the difference between a “travel booking confirmation” document and ASQ confirmation? I also need “proof of Accommodation in Thailand.” I assume that is housing after ASQ.

Passport, covid insurance and flight confirmation were the only straightforward of all the 10 required documents. It seemed to save only one uploaded page and my bank statement and flight confirmation are two separate pages. Also, it won’t accept PNG or word documents, only Jpeg, jpg or PDF.

What are the requirements for a “letter of invitation”? I will be staying with my daughter.

Has anyone successfully uploaded an eVisa? Thanks!!

At yearly extension or some trip with re entry permit immigration write different.

Sometimes they write: non-O

Sometimes they write: non-Re

Sometimes they write: non- Im

I have all three.

This is confusing.

Anybody have some explanation??

Has anyone applied for a Non O (spouse) Visa in Australia? The Consulate in Melbourne are telling me I need $8,000 AUD, but from what I can see on the application form, this is for a Multi Entry Tourist Visa. For a Non Immigrant Visa it states 20,000 THB per person, or 40,000 THB per family. Confusion reigns!

Hi Everybody. I am in the process of figuring out the TM30 app but am having trouble understanding the visa types shown. If anybody has any idea it would be a great help and hopefully could help others in the future too. Thanks.

Hello everyone,

I am having a 60 days tourist visa (single entry) but would like to go to Malaysia (by land) for a week.

I have just got to Thailand at the beginning of the month.

Yesterday some really helpful members of this group advised me to apply for a reentry permit. Today, I was talking with a travel agency and they told me that there is no other option for me than to apply for a new visa at the thai embassy and that I will lose my actual visa by leaving the country as re entry permits are not an option for tourists..

I am really confused now...

Does anyone has practical experience with that?

My plan was to go to the immigration office of koh samui in order to apply for the re entry permit.

It's time to ask Tod Daniels cause i'm getting more and more confuse. My THAI GF call Aranyaphathet border today asking if she can make a Ordinary visa at Poipet border (not the 14 days visa exempt, or the 30 days tourist visa that u can only extend up to only couple of months but the ordinary visa (30 days, that you can extend up to a year easily with a agent). The officer was *not sure*, he was more happy about telling her how great the casino in Poipet are!

Before that, someone on cambodia visa forum close to that border told me that she could, another thai lady told me that she got the Ordinary visa by land no problem. Some Khmer on facebook also told me that it is easy at border, even for thai to get the ordinary visa (at worse give extra $20 they all said!).

But i'm getting worry because one foreigner living in Phnom penh told me that he employ Philipino, Vietnamese and Thai staff, and that went they try to get a ordinary visa when entering Cambodia at border or airport they always get told to go to a embassy. The ordinary visa doesn't allow u to work (u need a work visa for that), but all of his staff try to cross with letter of invitation from his company that they will issue them work visa (which is probably a bad move from his part?). You can upgrade from ordinary to work visa once in Cambodia, but it's probably not a good idea to try to cross with letter of invitation without going to a embassy to get a ordinary visa first.

So his point was *if a thai citizen want a ordinary visa they need to go to cambodian embassy in BKK first!*. But I think they got denied the ordinary visa (not denied entry but that particular visa), because if u come with a letter of invitation implying that someone will make a work visa for u once ur in Cambodia you need to get the visa at embassy and not at border. My GF situation is different, she's coming with me and our 2 dogs and we plan to stay up to a year, no letter of anything, the easy as usual *we are here for extended holiday, we love to travel!*.

Now again, thai girl that has done it (+ a foreigner telling me right now that her thai GF has done it), along with some Khmer telling me it's easy for thai at border is a good sign. But the border at Aranyaphathet not really knowing + that foreigner story.make me a bit anxious.

I have not find any valuable source on google about that. And the cambodian visa page on FB is where that confusion started. I don't know who to call at this point, HELP!
