Did I miss some news about visa exempt arrivals? A friend arrived to Thailand from the US in late December and was stamped in for 90 days. I thought you only received 60 days now and could go to immigration to extend it another 30 days.
Hi all. I have my 90 day stamp and my stamp expires 11 April when I should be given my 1 year extension. Immigration team have visited me at my home and they say all is ok.
My question can I go before 11 April to collect the visa or only in that day? My wife say only on the day of expiry of the 90 day.
My NON-IMM B visa expires on the 11th of September, while my airport stamp expires on the 30th of August. Can I do a border run and still get 90 days even if the visa expires in September?
Process/timing question. On 30 November I applied at CM (airport office) to convert my 45 day tourist to a retirement/permission to stay. They folded up and stapled a blue form inside my PP (I believe it was an “under consideration” form) with instructions to return 23 December. I assume this is to receive my 90 day stamp? If all of the above is correct, my question is when can I go back (with all of the appropriate forms) and get the final stamp indicating I am now on a one year permission to stay? I have heard immediately as well as when I am within X days of the expiration of the 90 days. Thanks.
Went to Korat immigration office to receive my 90 day stamp for my retirement visa. All went well, although it did take up almost two pages of my passport.
Next step is the one year visa, which I was told I did not have to wait the full 90 days for, and that I could come back and receive it within 45 days of the end of the 90 day period.
Was good to know. I can get it and be out by Christmas.
