Hi , when entering Thailand we get the entry permit stamp (60 days?) how many times a year can we visit like that? Asking as I will have family visiting me when I move permanently? I think I was told by someone you can only visit twice a year on this entry stamp?

What’s up people, I recently done a visa exempt 90 days in Thailand (ending 18th dec) I heard the stamp rules reset every calendar year so in January would I be able to come back and get another 60 day stamp?

Hi members..

Getting bit confusing about entering Thailand from Australia..

Having an Australian Passport does this get stamped for 60 days then apply for 30 day extension.

Or do I have to apply for 60 day E Visa than than apply for another 30 day extension.

I'm planning on spending 90 days in Thailand the doing border hop Nong kai into Laos for a few days then re enter for another 60 days.. is this possible.

Thanks for information

A few questions regarding the DTV. I'm currently stuck in the UK waiting for this thing to come through, which is taking longer than I'd hoped.

1. What happens if I enter Thailand on a standard 60-day stamp-on-arrival while my visa is still pending? Someone (random Facebook comment) claimed that this would invalidate the visa. Is this true? I haven't been able to confirm this.

2. Assuming I could just leave now and enter Thailand on a 60-day stamp, then, if & when the DTV is granted, could I then cross into e.g. Cambodia, print it out, and then enter Thailand with it-- or do you have to be arriving from your country of origin to initialize it?

3. Are they asking for an onward ticket with this visa? It seems unreasonable given that it allows a stay of up to 6 months, but then again, it's bureaucracy, and Thai bureaucracy at that.

4. I've already been asked for additional documents, which I supplied. How many rounds of "additional document requests" can the process go through before it's either granted or denied? They actually responded within 24 hours with this request, which I submitted the same day, but since then it's been stuck on "pending documents".

Thanks.

Hello everyone, apologies in advance if this is going to be a stupid question but yeah... I have a multiple entries visa with 6 months validity. I live in London but I have an Italian passport for reference. My 60 days will expire on the 18th of May. Now...If I do a visa run let's say on the 5th of May and come back on the 7th, will my 60 days restart (so I'll be able to stay for 60 days more) or 18th of May is still the date I have to go back?

Hi there, on a 6-month METV, can I do a border run for my next required 60-day stamp by coming back on the ferry from Langkawi (Malaysia) to Koh Lipe? Does immigration on a small island like Koh Lipe give the stamp that I need for a fresh 60 day stay (still within the time of my METV)?

Hi everyone. I have recently received a METV and need some advice on my proposed plan. I couldn't get into the country any earlier so have lost a couple of weeks. As such I was wondering if I leave the country before the METV expires, am I still allowed to stay for 60 days?

Example itinerary as follows:

August 7: Visa approved (expires 6 Feb 2024)

August 27: Arrive in Thailand. Get a 60-day stamp. (60 days expires 25 Oct)

October 24: [1st Extention] Extend for another 30 days. (30 days expires 22 Nov)

November 21: [1st Visa Run] Leave Thailand

November 24: Return to get a new 60-day stamp. (new stamp expires 22 Jan)

January 20: [2nd Visa Run] Leave Thailand

January 25: Return to get a new 60-day stamp. (new stamp expires 24 Mar)

Thanks in advance.

Hi group, a question about a METV; can you extend it after 60 days or do you have to leave the country. I do not i tend to stay longer than 6 months in total, but it would be much more convenient to do 1 borderrun and two extensions instead of 2 borderruns.

I’m applying in the Netherlands. Information on the Embassy website is not clear.
