TLDR : Answer Summary
If you are already in Thailand with a 60-day tourist visa stamp, any changes to visa rules that occur after your arrival will not affect your current stay. You can apply for a one-time 30-day extension at any local Thai Immigration office for a fee of 1900 Thai baht.

If you're here already on a 60 day stamp, even if they change it you would still have gotten in BEFORE the change took effect 😕

I'm sure if your stamp is 60 days regardless of what changes made after you arrived the 60 days is honoured.

This rule will take months to come into effect possibly it won't even happen who knows if you are traveling soon you will get stamped in for the original 60 days then go extend for a further 30 days at immigration for 1900 baht

IF you are already in Thailand...you were stamped in for 60 days...

And you can get a One time 30 days extension of stay at your local Thai Immigration office for 1900 Thai baht.
