TLDR : Answer Summary
The consensus from the comments indicates that entering Thailand twice in one year on a 60-day stamp should not present issues with immigration, provided there are no extensions or border runs involved. Some users have shared their experiences of multiple entries without complications, emphasizing that being a genuine tourist generally poses no problems. However, it's suggested to consider applying for a proper visa if planning longer or repeated stays, as immigration may inquire about frequent entries.

Hi last time I was in Thailand I overstayed by one day

I paid the 500 baht fine will I have trouble visit Thailand again

@Harold *******
The Immigration Officer holding your passport is the only one who can answer that as he will be looking at your complete stay history as well as your overstay

I did already 4 entries on visa exempt this year. 2 more to go.

No you’re ok

Why don't apply for visa and stop worry?

it doesn't cut no ice with Immigration. Touristic entries are tourstic entries, it doesn't make any difference if entries were made visa exempt or on a tourist visa. After a certain time with touristic entries, you will be pulled aside and questioned what you are doing in Thailand

I have been doing the same 2 weeks may 2 weeks October for the last 3 years it hasn't been a problem so far

I was there February, June and coming again September, only two weeks at a time, never been asked any question by immigration. If you are a genuine tourist you have no problem.

yes I have family there

doesn't cut no ice. If you have a Thai family in Thailand, then get the proper 90-days Non-Imm-O family visa, put 400,000 THB into your Thai bank account and get issued the 1-year extended stay permit. On this, you leave and come back as you please

Two weeks at the time will never be a problem. But staying 60 days on a visa exempt + one extension and maybe a border run on top of that and THEN coming back on a new 60 days visa exempt. Now you "might" have a problem with immigration.

I have entered Thailand several times this year with visa exemption.

It's about the time you spent in Thailand and if you extended the stay another 30 days and maybe did border runs.That's when immigration might start asking questions on your next arrival.
Max *************
No,there won't be a problem.Just one entry and no extension or border run.

....sorry to ask......if someone did a border run.....would that be a problem?
Max *************
@Rod ******
If it is the first border run and when using an agency which is imo smart to do, there most likely won't be a problem.

, I’m heading to Thailand next week for the fifth time in just over a year .

All trips were 3-4 weeks on a visa exemption with no overstays or border runs , should be cool yes ?
Christopher ******
@Robbie ******
i did that for almost 2 years. The longer i did it, the more i would be grilled coming in
Max *************
@Robbie ******
It should be cool. 👍

@Robbie ******
you should be fine, after only short visa-exempt stays . . . but please be prepared to answer questions and show that your next stay also is only short time, have the 3 famous proofs ready to show: Cash, booked accomodation and onward travel
