I'm currently in Phuket and will be making an application tomorrow at the Phuket town immigration office for a 60-Day Covid Extension.

I understand that I may only receive an under consideration stamp and will need to return to the same immigration office on the day I'm advised to do so for a final decision.

If I'm granted the full 60 days, will I be able to then make a Non-O Visa Application based on retirement, or will I need to leave the country at the end of extension?

I'm a UK passport holder with the required funds already in place. I'll be traveling back to the Bangkok or Pattaya area and will probably be making the Non-O application in an immigration office in Chonburi.

Hello Group,

I would like to share my experience applying for my third 60 day covid extension at Chaengwattana.

Nationality: American

I submittted the usual documents: TM7, covid extension request form, overstay form, copy of passport data and visa pages, TM30, copy of 90 day receipt(although the officer requested to see the original), and one passport photo.

Surprisingly the officer handed back my outward ticket and email from my embassy stating they don’t issue letters.

No questions asked and the process took 25 minutes. I queued at 9:55 and left around 10:20.

I feel lucky 🍀 or maybe they are being more relaxed due to the coming wave of omnicron.

Cheers

Received 60 day covid extension at MTT today. USA passport. This was my 7th covid extension. Cost 1900B.

Arrived at 1PM with paperwork already filled out. About 20 people already had queue tickets. Only a few ahead of me in line for document check, and afterwards, I received queue number 266. They have signs up that say they will only queue 300 tickets per day.

No mention of "too many extensions" or fines for not doing a 90 day report; I have never done one. No questions regarding flights or embassy letters or when I planned to leave.

I had a very nice female officer. She did want to see a TM30, and my screen grab print out from my landlord sufficed. I used the 4 forms found in the Files section of this group. Finished at 2PM. 60 days added onto the end of my previous stamp. November 20 - January 19.

Easy to get to from Sukhumvit. Take light green BTS line directly to Wat Phra Sri Mahathat station. Cost is 44B. Taxis outside station for 150B will take you to the front door of the MTT Immigration building. That's about a 10-15 minute taxi ride. Same route back. Took me 1 hour 20 minutes each way.

Hi,

I'm hearing that the 60 day covid extensions are (at the moment) running until the 27th Sept. I arrived on a 45+30 visa on arrival, extended it for 30 days, then had a 3 month education visa, which ends Sept 5th.

Can I apply for the 60 day Covid extension? When should I do this, and is it necessary to provide proof that you are unable to travel to your home country? I am in Chiang Mai.

Hey guys, just wanted to check a couple of things. Does a non-B visa have to be cancelled in the same province as it was issued (in my case BKK), and if so, can someone else cancel it on your behalf?

Also, anyone else had problems obtaining a 60 day covid visa after an overstay? Thanks all.

Hello everyone, Thank you for accepting my question, and I appreciate your help. This is a great group.

I'm currently on a TR visa, on my first 60 days. The visa expires on Jun 1st, and I can still extend it for another 30 days (I haven't yet). I rent an apartment in BKK.

I know that COVID extensions are until May 28th (or 25th?) at the moment. My passport is Israeli.

My question is: Assuming I want to stay longer than Jun 31st. What is the best course of action for me?

* Should I apply for a regular extension and hope I can get COVID extension later in June?

* Should I try to apply for a COVID extension first and get the 60 days?

* Other suggestions?

Thank you!
