For everyone who have applied for an Ed Visa, are you now being asked to get it done outside of Thailand?

I was doing a Visa with a gym in Muay Thai and had the appointment tomorrow (immigration)

They told me that because of some gangsters misusing the visa, they have now stopped giving Ed Visas from within Thailand.

Can anyone confirm?

I'm stressed as I don't know the process to apply it from a different country and everything is so unclear

Hello everybody! Thanks for accepting me! I was reading the last updates regarding Covid extensions and I would like to comment my situation. I arrived in May entering with no visa and got stamped for 90 days. Last month I did the Covid extension and they gave me 2 months (until October 4). The problem is that my air ticket ( I bought a package that’s why I got a really good price) it’s November 3. I know I should have thought about this before… the air ticket has no change….. and yes I can say cheaper options can turn out to be expensive …

I thought to go out few days to Kuala Lumpur and then re entry, but now I’m afraid they won’t let me. Also if I use a different nationality passport ( I have 2 nationalities)you think it’s a good idea ?

And last question regarding what I read in last posts , Is it better / safer to re entry by land ?

Thanks for your time !!!!

🙏

**ATTENTION ALL MEMBERS;

Especially the ones that didn't read the featured pinned thread announcing it :P

ALL Immigrations offices in the country are closed until Monday the 18th (borders are open like normal).

**Please note;

If you have a stamp that is expiring during this time that the immigration offices are closed and you show up at the immigration office on the 18th you will NOT be fined for overstay and can get your extension like normal (but you will get an overstay stamp in your passport that says; "overstay xxx days, fine waived due to holiday/closure". **

Good Day to you all. After arriving from Australia on visa exemption and extending my stay for 30 more days I recently applied for the 60 days COVID extension. However, when I checked the stamp in my passport I realised that I only got 30 days extension. Also the stamp itself says that “Application of Stay is under Consideration Applicant must contact this office again on 25 March”

Any and all comments about this are most welcome.

My main question is - do I have to pay another 1,900 baht in 30 days?

Thank you in advance.

Covod extension - Silly question (sorry my bf is fretting) If immigration has taken our forms, passport and 1900 bhat and said "Collect on Monday" does that mean our 60 day Covid extension has been approved? I assume yes and the paperwork is just being processed.

Hi everyone!

Can I still apply for 60 days extension in Chiang Mai? I see different news that some people were denied even tho covid extensions were extended til March 25th. I got stamp on arrival in December and one covid stamp for 60 days 🙏🏼

Hi there, I just left from the Trat immigration office - they verbally rejected my request for a second Covid extension.

I came on a 60 days tourist visa in October, extended for 30 days in Trat and then did the 60 days Covid extension in January, in Bangkok.

The Trat IO didn't stamp my passport today, but they advised to go to Bangkok and try there.

My visa expires this Friday - I understand nobody here has precise answers, but from your experience, just how low are the chances of getting rejected in Bangkok too?

I want to know if it's better to spend my energy on looking for my next destination.

Thank you

The US embassy said it no longer issues letters. Nonthaburi Immigration requires it, though. Otherwise (they told me this morning), they will only issue me a 7-day extension and must leave the country (originally, I came in Dec. 8, ‘21 on TR visa 60 days and was granted a 30- day extension in Feb.. and, one needs at least 15 days in which to change visa status, such as to Non-O retirement. FYI
