I have recently been told that an 11 year old American who entered a little over a year ago on a tourist visa will be expedited and blacklisted for 1-5 years. I thought there was an exception for those under 15. Is that the case? Thanks for the support!

Hi guys. Thanks to advice on here i applied for a Non-O 90 day retirement visa (I intend to extend in Thailand but only got the option for 90 days on the Embassy website).

However when asked to provide proof of £18,000 in the bank i had a problem. I do have the amount JUST but its in 3 bank accounts and the Embassy web site only allows you to upload a single photo.

My son put all 3 accounts on one photo but it has not been accepted, they said they want a clear photo, not a screenshot of my proof.

I have tried calling to explain and ask for help but keep getting the "No-one available" and then get cut off.

Any of you guys any idea how i can get round this problem?

I am applying for a Type O visa (based on marriage to a Thai) on 6th October in London.

One criteria is that I need a letter to confirm where my wife and I eill be staying in Thailand.

At the moment, this can be either a homestay or a friend of my wifes house.

Has anyone here had to submit a letter like this for the Type O visa? Just wondering what the content of the letter needs to be.

I am currently holding a retirement visa in Thailand, valid until March next year. However, when I traveled outside of Thailand last month, I did not obtain a re-entry permit before leaving. (Yes I totally forgot) Upon my return at airport, I was granted a 60-day tourist visa instead.

At the airport, the immigration officer informed me that I could resolve this matter at the immigration office. A week after my return, I visited the immigration office in Bangkok to resolve this. There, the officer explained that my retirement visa could be validated, but my landlord would need to update my residential status in the system.

When I contacted my landlord, she informed me that this update can only be made within 24 hours of my arrival. Since more than 24 hours had passed, she is unable to update it now, as entering false information would be an offense. Without this update in the system, immigration is unable to proceed further.

Therefore, I am kindly seeking your guidance on what I should do next. Does this mean that once my 60-day tourist visa expires, I will need to leave Thailand? Or is there a way to reapply or convert to a new retirement visa within Thailand without having to leave the country? And what if I stay over and let's say I travel in December and apply for re-entry b4 I go, will I get away with it.

Thank you very much for your time, understanding, and assistance with this matter.

I have a banking problem and would like to ask if anyone can give me guidance. Today my Krungsri branch in Pranburi told me that from October 1st on foreigners are not allowed to transfer money from their Krungsri FCD (Foreign Currency Deposit, mine is in Euro) account to their Krungsri THB account. They told me to withdraw Baht from Krungsri ATMs with FCD service ( in Pranburi there's only one) and then pay them into my THB account which of course is suboptimal. Anybody knows a way around this? Will other banks still allow FCD to BTH transfers? Any ideas would be sincerely appreciated.

Hi everyone, I entered Thailand on a 60-day visa-exempt stamp (arrived July 31, stamp expires Sept 28).

I received my school documents just today. But in this document from immigration page it says more than 15 days before visa expiration. Can I still apply directly for the ED visa (TM.87) at Chaeng Wattana tomorrow? Has anyone here applied in a similar situation recently? Any advice is very much appreciated 🙏

Hello everyone, a silly question here but when one is advised to 'ask directly to your local IO', in my case Chaengwatthana. Where do you go and ask your questions directly?

I often find the front desk at the entry pretty much clueless and/or with a poor understanding.

Do I need to ask and probably disturb the officers at the counters inside, where people has a queue number already? Or is it there any useful information area in the building?

Thank you for your help.
