Can someone give me an example for a letter that my work need to generate for the dtv?

How many of you guys here have gotten approved using Wise?

I’ve seen mixed feedback on certain countries/embassies approving/denying. I’ve only got Wise that has the balance.

I have married a Thai woman in Sweden.

Going to visit her in Thailand in January on a non-e spouse visa. When extending the visa to one year, our marriage must be registered locally at her nearest Amphur in order for me to get the one year extension.?

Anyone know how much for a Non B visa linked to a work permit and the requirements needed ?

Good morning, I have a question about proof of recurring income.

Does the proof need to be in the form of bank statements or will an end of year statement be acceptable?

The end of year statement lists income for the next coming year.

# Soft Power - HCMC - 14 Working Days

Just thought I would give an update on Ho Chi Minh Approvals as it took a lot longer than expected!

Type: Soft Power - Cooking Class 6 Month with Arun Thai Bangkok.

Passport: Australian

Funds: 3 Months of Bank Statements, Had 1 Mill Baht so 2 x amount required and the money had been in their the whole time.

Unemployed: with < 20000 USD.

Submitted: 14th October 2025

Request Documents / Provided Documents: 17th October 2025

Pending Approval: 27th October 2025

Approved: 3rd November 2025.

Documents Requested:

1. Student confirmation letter from Cooking School.

2. All pages of passport

3. Proof of income and what I plan to do for the whole 5 years ( I showed some rental income that I earn plus mentioned that I had double the amount required that I would use)

All up it took 21 days ( 14 working days) for approval. If I was to do it again I would definitely have just locked in a months accommodation and relaxed instead of having to stress about whether it was approved and moving accommodation constantly!

Another thing is that I did email and send messages to Line about 3 times throughout this period. They didn't acknowledge them at the time, but today as soon as I got the approval I got a line message and email response which was great!

Very Grateful today as I am about to board my flight to Thailand!

Documents submitted: Thai bank statement, Muay Thai invitation letter, Laos entry stamp

Timeline:

10/27 - Entered Vientiane, submitted online application and paid visa fee same day

10/28 - Received an email to resubmit a clearer copy of bank statement. Submitted same day and received interview invitation almost immediately

11/3 - Attended interview. Officer asked to show online banking and the payment transaction made to Muay Thai gym. They also asked for the reason for quitting my job in Thailand and switching to DTV.

11/3 - Received approval email after 2 hours of interviews.

11/3 - Entered Thailand via Nong Khai border. No questions asked at immigration and stamped in less than 30 seconds

DTV Visa Rejected - No Reason!

Applied HCMC (cooking) on the 16th, just rejected today.

Everything was 100% correct according to the agency.

APPROVED! Applied under the soft power category (6-month cooking course) at the Thai Embassy in Singapore.

I found the information on this page quite useful when preparing for my application so sharing my experience for the benefit of others (esp. anyone thinking of applying in Singapore).

25 Oct - Submitted my application

27 Oct - Embassy called to request for further information namely to remove the watermark from the school enrolment documents and to submit my proof of accommodation in Thailand (no airbnb allowed). Submitted the documents on the same day. Status changed to "pending approval".

3 Nov - Approved!

I had initially consulted with a visa agent who advised me to apply in the Philippines, Laos or Indonesia or if in Singapore then under the Muay Thai category which they seemed to think had a higher success rate. This didn't make sense to me at all so I decided to do it myself.

The process was quick, easy and stress-free.
