Looking for some advice on whether this DTV is even an option for me, please 💖

- it will be just for me and my dependent child, I can show a bank statement of 550,000 THB but only just got this money into my account (haven't had it consecutively for 3 months, and I don't have enough to show it for both of us - so she would be my dependent, but do I need to show 550,000 for each of us or just for myself (if she is my dependent?)

- I'm 32 and child is 3. UK citizens

- we used the UK visa free option for 90 days (extended), did one visa run (stayed away 2x nights) then did another 90 days visa free option (extended), then left. No overstaying.

Is this even a possibility for me? Keep getting mixed advice. Open to different options 😊

TLDR : Answer Summary
The poster is inquiring about the feasibility of obtaining a DTV (Digital Nomad Visa) for themselves and their 3-year-old dependent child, with concerns regarding bank statement requirements. They highlight having 550,000 THB in their account but not meeting the three-month requirement or the amount needed for both applicants. Community comments provide mixed advice on the necessity of showing additional funds for the child and suggest it may be possible to apply using the same bank balance for both. Overall, clarification from the embassy about the specific category of DTV and requirements is recommended.

From our experience, you'll need to show THB 500,000 for yourself as well as for your child (total THB 1,000,000)

As some others have commented that they were successful using the same bank.. you may want to clarify with the embassy just to be sure!

Lastly regarding the duration of funds that needs to be kept in your account, my understanding is that UK is one of the countries that accept bank balance as a source of proof (i.e. they do not require funds to be kept for a certain period)

I showed my bank account with nothing in it but premium bonds and they accepted that.

I used the same 500k thb to apply for myself and then again for both my kids application. No issues. Just make sure to write a sponsor letter for her. At the time I only provided 1 month bank statement

First up, please inform the group under which category of DTV you wish to apply. That way you will get constructive answers

Closing balance of 500K Baht is ok for you first.. Once your visa approves, you can apply for any number of dependents under the same bank statement. No matter just 2 people or 10; law doesn't states anything.

For childeren most embassies don't ask for extra 500K, for spouse normally they ask, your statement that according the law any number of dependant can use the 500K is just wron, according to the law for every applicant regardless whiich of the 3 types needs 500K. This can be with a sponsor letter.

I already got the visa for a total of 3 people in same amount.

then you are just lucky, but for dependants the rule is also 500K, some embassies are less strict here sometimes.

You will need to qualify via one of the methods, either a digital nomad or signed up to take a soft power course or on going medical treatment. Even with soft power, some embassies will want to see an income source, not just the 500k

Your statement as it ends with 500,000 THB or equivalent is ok

And as you are the father.

The kid she will get Dependent visa after your visa approved

You will pay the fee of her application yet she doesn't need to show 500,000 THB nor you need to show 500,000 ×2 for you both
