I applied my visa in Hanoi,Vietnam on 11 September, Wednesday. I didn’t get any email about require documents OR visa rejected OR visa approval. So, should I go there and ask what’s wrong? Because today is 17th already and I really want to go other places so badly . I just want to know the update 😩

Quick advise needed. My passport expired recently and I was issued a new one. My visa stamp is in the old passport. Would I be able to get in and out of Bangkok if I bring both my old and new passports or do I really have to go to Chaeng Wattana to have them transferred the visa chop to the new passport. I’m up for renewal in November so I’m hoping to save the trip…Any experience/ advise. Many thanks.

FYI - I hold a Singapore passport which means every passport is issued a new number.

Hi everyone! 😄 any recommendations for reputable Visa Agencies for DTV?

My partner and I travel for most of the year but are now looking to make Thailand our main base. There is so much information out there, we both want to make sure we go about this is in the right way, respect the rules and have the process be as seamless as possible.

Any recommendations would be so appreciated, there is SO much to take in😅

I am hoping someone can give me an idea of how long it generally takes to receive a Non-O Visa after submitting the online application. I am a US citizen located in the US. Thanks all!

Hello everyone, and may all be well with you

a few questions:

Do you help to get a work visa, can you recommend a local lawyer?

Has anyone done a work visa themselves?

According to my calculations, the cost is about 110,000 for a family of three. If anyone has any experience, please share

Posting to give back as I received a lot of advice on here....

I was approved for a DTV at Vancouver Consulate. I provided a credit card statement for proof that I was in Canada because my driver's license was expired. Also provided previous month bank statement showing closing balance over $20K CAD, though the balance was lower than $20k at certain times of the month. I own a Corp in Canada, but I'm the only shareholder, so I provided the Business registration docs all in 1 PDF. 7 days later, they ask for further documents regarding the nature of business of the Corp and how the applicant would work in Thailand. I answered those questions in an official company response and submitted it... was approved 6 hours later.

Feel free to call the consulate to ask questions before applying. They are very helpful and often pick up on the first ring.

Does it matter how the 500k Baht is stored on application of the DTV? If I have it within a mutual fund, 401k or an ETF account, would that be acceptable?

What is the attitude of Thailand regarding farang retiring here to pass? Like, not the guys who go broke and want to do weird shit before hopping out hotel windows, but just like really old/sick people?

So could someone clarify about the fee. Is that fee a one off payment or is that every 180 days?
