I'm confused. Just read this new article just posted today on taxes. So it says we're not taxed on income sourced outside of Thailand. But later it talks about Residency rule and that we ARE taxed. So I'm confused, are we taxed or not taxed? It appears rules on foreigners earning outside Thailand those rules haven't changed. Can anyone clarify?

Thinking about getting a DTV visa in Vietnam by enrolling in a Muay Thai course.

Anyone here tried this route or know how it works? (documents, suggestions etc)

Would love to hear your experience! And if you can share reliable agents or good Muay Thai courses, thank you so much!

Applied on May 4

Sent additional documents on May 26

Los Angeles Consulate website says it takes 5 business days to process additional documents. Today is the end of the 5th business day and I haven't heard anything. I sent an email yesterday but no response. Any advice on what to do? My departure date is June 9

Hey everyone,

I’m flying to Thailand tomorrow from Australia. I’ve already completed my entry form etc. My question is can I enter with my 60 day tourist visa on arrival if I haven’t booked a return ticket? I’m planning on doing further travelling, I just haven’t decided where I’ll be going next.

Thank you

It says apply for TDAC 3 days in advance , but if I buy a ticket for tomorrow can I still submit online now or will need to do it there on the booths/ipads?

Hi everyone,

I'm currently living in Thailand on a DTV visa and working for a company that pays me as a freelancer.

Since the company is not based in Thailand, they suggested I obtain a work permit through an Employer of Record (EOR) service. I'm assuming they would increase my wage accordingly so that my net salary isn't affected by the change.

I have a few questions:

Has anyone gone through this process?

Would you recommend it?

From what I understand, I would need to cancel my DTV visa, and I'm not sure whether having a work permit would offer significant benefits beyond things like opening a bank account. I'm also unsure if I’d be able to reapply for the DTV visa in the future if needed.

Any insights or experiences would be greatly appreciated!

DTV Muay Thai

Has anyone who lives in Thailand applied for the DTV using a condominium or house in Thailand? I'm concerned about filling in my home country since my bank statement is from a bank in Thailand.

Hey guys! It’s the visa extension usually approved? For the extra month. I’m from Europe. It’s my first time in Thailand in a few years and wanna extend my two months visa exemption, would like to book a flight to another country so I wanna know if they usually accept this extension or they can give you trouble.
