Hi All,

On my Third document request from KL, applying via Musy Thai, I have already submitted a 6 month statment with a balance of £17,000 and have been asked for 3 months ‘certify by the bank’. I bank with NatWest and they don’t offer such service? Any advise

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is facing challenges with their Thai visa application from Kuala Lumpur, specifically regarding the bank certification requirements. They have submitted the necessary bank statement but are unable to obtain the certified documentation requested by the Thai embassy. Community members suggest providing a cover letter explaining the situation to the embassy, seeking any form of documentation from the bank that links the account to their identification, or considering alternative application locations due to the stringent requirements in KL.

Correct me if I am wrong but they are asking for a certificate which says that the bank account is connected to your passport/identification number right? Is there any way for you to get that certificate/document? I asked my bank for an advice, which stated my passport number, bank account and the amount of money in there

Unfortunately like some others have mentioned, Thai embassy in Malaysia is particularly stringent on requirements.

I would give it a last shot to attach any official communication with bank representatives mentioning this, followed by attaching a cover letter to the embassy explaining your situation in detail. Tie your explanation back to your original intention of wanting to stay in Thailand (i.e. because you have deep interest in the culture, plan to make this your home in the future, etc).

KL always asks for certification. If you couldn’t get it, probably should have picked a different country/embassy.

Cancel the application and go somewhere with less requirements if you cannot get the requested documents. KL is known to be quite stringent.
