Update : The visa finally got approved!! ✅✅✅

🗓️My timeline 👇🏻

- 29May : Finished the application almost at midnight

- 30May : "Pending Document Checking 1 "

- 5 June : "Pending Approval 1 "

- 11 June: Visa got approved and received Email

📌Total working days = 9 days ( I include 2-3June holiday because some people got approved that day too)

Thank you so much to this group that shared a lot of useful information and support!!

------

I would like to know if anybody who apply from Hanoi get approved with more than 5 working days since the status change to "pending approval"

I applied on 29May after office hour then the status changed to "pending document checking" next day 30May

Then 5June status was changed to "pending approval" and no additional documents were requested.

Since the majority of people who post their successful story here got the approval so fast (even they applied after I did mine)

So I just want to know if I should go following up at the embassy or just keep calm and waiting.

TIA.🙏

Has anyone successfully gotten a soft-power DTV visa in Hanoi this month? I’m seeing a lot of not so great posts about HCMC but nothing about Hanoi? Thanks in advance.

Going to apply in Hanoi next months.

Besides the basic required documents I will provide an dental implant treatment schedule with 2 past and 4 future appointments until the end of 2025 including receipts with my passport number and dentist registration number,an rental agreement in Thailand and a hotel booking in Hanoi.

Would this be a probable reason and documentation?

Any experience members done this already.

DTV approved in Hanoi. Made an appointment online, attended Monday and picked up the visa today. They said 3 workings days but mine was done in 2.

I provided 6 months bank statements with the 500k Thai baht minimum, I only had it in one account for a 5 month period but gave them bank statements for the missing month showing the source of these funds. They generally want the funds to be liquid and withdrawable.

I stated that I have 3 sources of income:

1. Engineering technician (provided portfolio and recent signed letter from a client stating I have agreement to carry out work for him) I am not currently working in this role but expressed to them my intention is to get myself setup when I find accommodation.

2. Trading reports (provided transactions in this tax UK year and withdrawals to my bank accounts and shown on bank statements to prove income in this period)

3. Investment property income (provided invoice for payments to myself from tenant and management fees)

I summarised everything in a cover letter which tied all my evidence together and I think would go along way in any application. I provided in total 107 pages of evidence so I imagine they would have struggled to make sense of everything without the cover letter.

Also gave last years tax return, proof of location in Vietnam (hotel reservation is fine). They didn’t require travel or accommodation for Thailand to be booked.

Found the process to be easy, staff were friendly and she even helped me print out some documents I managed to forget!

Fee was 340 usd only (I asked for fresh notes at the exchange). They made sense of everything at the desk before accepting the application and taking my money.

DTV was given to me as a sticker inside my passport

Any questions hit me up

I am married are there any places one can get a non o marriage visa without fulfilling the 400 K in a bank for 2 months. I heard Hanoi in Vietnam does not require this. Thank you Steve
