Partecipante anonimo This is the main reason why Thailand is offering a 5-year visa for just 10,000 THB per year! If you fill out all the paperwork to avoid double taxation, probably nobody will pay double tax. However, I believe the plan is to fine people for not filling out the paperwork to avoid double taxation... So, I guess they will ask for a fine and ask you to pay tax again! They're starting with DTV and then moving on to other long-term visas.
so, try it, and let us know if the officer will let you go in... I'd suggest to don't do it, as I would suggest to don't stay more than 180 days, otherwise soon or late someone will try to make you pay taxes on the amount you bring into the Country...
not correct! You have 3 months to get inside the country after visa has been approved! Then you are free to leave and come back when you want until the dtv is valid!
you're right! Usually, but not always.. I advise to get a travel insurance for 1 year and renew it each here, for 500 euros you are covered for 10k euro.... same insurance with some broker advised would be 1k!
