Hi guys, is it possible to not fill out the TM30 upon arrival, but stay for 2 nights at a hotel before doing the 90-day report? I landed 2 days ago, but yesterday was bank holiday, and today immigration made things too complicated for me, so I couldn't get it.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The TM30 form is typically required to be submitted by your hotel or landlord upon your arrival in Thailand. If you stay in a hotel for two nights, they are obligated to file this form on your behalf. You do not need to fill it out yourself, as hotels usually submit it automatically as part of compliance with local regulations. If you need a copy of the TM30, it is advisable to request it upon your arrival rather than at a later date. The 90-day report is only required after 90 consecutive days of stay in Thailand.
90 DAY REPORTING RESOURCES / SERVICES
Use the trusted Thailand 90 Day Reporting Serviceto get your in-person report done and mailed to you for as low as 375 THB (even if the online system doesn't work for you).

Hotels will do it automatically as per strict regulations. You don't need to do it yourself though; only when moving to your new address and that needs to be done by the owner.
Do you mean just move into a hotel a few days before the 90 day is due so you have a TM30 from the hotel or guesthouse. Should be OK but will the hotel etc give you a TM30? Some immigration offices want a physical paper while others are just fine with it registered on the system. PS: Why are you trying to do the TM30 yourself in the first place?
It is not you who are doing the TM30, but the hotel / landlord. If you may need it later, ask for a copy at arrival, and not 82 days later, when it can be hard to find for the receptionist ( especially if you have changed hotel / place to stay.
90-days report shall, as name implies, be done after 90 CONSECUTIVE days in Thailand and not until then.
