Hi! Do i get it right that now with the e-application its all through the thai website, not the local embassy? Lets say if I fly to nearby country it’s actually not through them anymore? Thanks!

Question: we have the dtv. Now we filed an online tm47, but that was rejected, because they want the first time an in person visit - that is no problem.

But what do we need to do to file that we are staying on this country legal?

I asked the landlord to give me a copy of the TM30 and will receive that this afternoon.

Do we miss a step somewhere?

Any clear step for step process explained would be great.

Thank you.

Will apply in a few days in Jakarta. Have all documents together, the only and last concern is on my remote working agreement. Should I put there my Thai address or german address?I am since March more or less in Thailand(on Tourist Visa), need to leave this week and fly to Jakarta to apply. Recommendations, thai or german address?

Would be very thankful for the last support.

Will share everything in Jakarta in detail in order to give back, as this group helped me a lot. ❤️❤️

Hi everyone,

Stupid question but it's not very clear for me :

Once the DTV visa is approved, do I have to go to the nearest thai embassy / consulate to have the DTV visa in my passport?

Or do I receive a kind of digital visa via email (QR code or sth like this) that I need to print?

I ask because the closest thai embassy is 260 kms from my home 😅😅

So it would be good news if there's a digital version.

Thx for your help 🙏

It's official. The DTV worked.

The immigration officer was smiling and giggling when he saw my DTV.

He said they are rare to see.

He said enjoy the 180 days 😁

Thanks for everyone's help in this group. I'm a happy DTV'er!

Hi,

Please advise me.

I am currently in Bangkok on a tourist visa, and I need to apply for a DTV for both myself and my wife.

Where is the best place for us to apply together—Laos or Vietnam?

Since Vietnam have e-visa portal, can I start the DTV application process from Thailand while on an e-visa?

Thank you.

For all people entering with a DTV: double check the IO stamps the correct dates!

I just realized my DTV was stamped in for only 5 months instead of 180 days 🤦‍♂️

I entered via land border and i’m now very far away from there. TBH i’m not even planning to stay the full 5 months.

Should i even try to get it fixed at the nearest immigration office?

In fact, my calculation says it’s only 149 days. This already includes the start and end dates.

Start date: October 7, 2024

End date: March 4, 2025

UPDATE JAN 2025: Got my visa stamp fixed at my local Chiang Mai immigration office while doing 90 day report.

For info - travelled on 90 day Non o visa issued by London Thai embassy - LHR to BKK via Eva Air 12/10/24 my ticket had return date of 24/3/25 (163 days)

In LHR Eva didn't ask to see visa, boarded with no issues. In BKK passport stamped with 90 day and no questions asked about 163 day return date. (Was ready to explain I was applying for Marriage Visa in Dec for 12 month)

Just my experience.
