Quick question, I'm arriving in bkk 1st of December and plan to stay until the 1st of June. This is my second entry on dtv. Ive been home for 6 months. My passport is in date until August 2026. Is my passport ok for this trip? Thx
Anyone have experience staying 180 days with DTV visa & then going out & coming back in within the same year or basically just a week later? After you leave. Is this possible and if yes, what are the tax consequences? Any information greatly appreciated…
Hello guys, I’ve got a couple of questions about extensions vs border run.
We’ve had our DTV visa for over a year now and living in Bangkok. During that year we were in and out of Thailand every 2 months so never had to do 90 day reporting nor extension.
We last reentered in July, already did our first 90day report in September and our 180 day stay ends in December.
Would you say it’s easier to do leave and re-enter like a visa run OR do another 90 day reporting followed by a DTV visa extension and get another 180 day stamp?
Has anyone encountered any issues with doing a DTV visa extension?
If “visa run” like option is easier, I was thinking of flying to KL for the weekend and back as it’s the cheapest flights for our dates. Are there any easier options you’d recommend?
I have my DTV visa since 1 April 2025. I travelled to Ho Chi Minh on 30 April 2025, and returned to Bangkok on 3 May 2025. The immigration officer never enquired about my DTV visa and it only took one minute to obtain my 180-day stamp.
Today arrive Cnx with Dtv just gave my phone and passport with boarding pass. The staffs are so welcoming and cheerful for everybody. No questions was asked just stamp 180days. Previous I have 3 TR visa and 3 visa extempt and one e extension. Only 5min to clear the immigration.
