Thailand got spoiled. Pretty soon it will be known for sex tourism. Meeting the financial requirements is not realistic for.many ex pats. And cost of living in Thailand doesn't justify the fin requirements. I'd vote for Laos or Vietnam as 2 viable options.

Philippines is one country that I'd very *tourist* friendly. Ex-pats can stay long time. Malaysia gave me 90 days without asking (VOA). Not sure of other countries in SE Asia.

Nobody is trying to "game" the system. If tourists are spending their money in Thailannd we are helping the local economy ! Ask the local hotels and restaurants and tuktuk drivers. Make it more affordable to get a "proper" visa

I had 2 of the 3 but also was recently denied entry. Was advised to get a VISA (Ed, retirement,etc).

I'm facing a similar situation. Recently got new passport ...have had numerous border crossing and increased from 60 to 90 ext in 2024

I was declined to do border run at Chiang Kong. They said I'm not really a "tourist" and to consider getting a visa.

I crossed into Laos and will wait 1 week then attempt FLY I'nto chiang mai from laung Prabang

Can u suggest a specific agent to assist ?
