My experience at the airport with the DTV visa was very smooth.

I was in Taipei for 5 days for my application recently and got back to Bangkok on December 13th.

The immigration person took my passport, looked at it, and without any hassle or hesitation, he stamped it right away.

I'm good to stay now until June 2025!

Thanks again to this group and to everyone who helped me out!

Has anyone entered Thailand via Nong Khai border with a new DTV?

What was your experience like?

Just wanted to share my experience on arriving with my Destination Thailand visa from Munich embassy quickly. After being pulled out for questioning the last few times, entering with a tourist visa, this time everything went smooth, no questions asked. Glad Thailand finally has a real digital "nomad" visa.

For info - travelled on 90 day Non o visa issued by London Thai embassy - LHR to BKK via Eva Air 12/10/24 my ticket had return date of 24/3/25 (163 days)

In LHR Eva didn't ask to see visa, boarded with no issues. In BKK passport stamped with 90 day and no questions asked about 163 day return date. (Was ready to explain I was applying for Marriage Visa in Dec for 12 month)

Just my experience.

For people who think they will be welcomed with a smile with the DTV at immigration at the airport think again. It was an angry face with 'what are you doing here?'

Saying more or less this isn't a legal visa.

She did stamp it 180 days...

Here's my experience with the Thai Consulate in LA for my DTV:

Applied on August 16.

Further requests more docs on Aug 23.

Approved on Sept 12.

Any requests for extra docs, expect 5 extra business days as that is written on the website. Just know that.

Very easy. I applied as a freelancer. Lists of things I've provided:

1. My main portfolio website and 4 projects and impressive case studies I've recently done related to my recent and current clients.

2. Last year's tax document

3. My joint bank account showing the total of $30k (shows my address, name, and my husbands name). Along with statements of 1 month only.

4. Provided 6 recent invoices for my freelance work and for extra, showed the total paid invoices cost starting beginning of January of this year to Aug 16, as proof that money is flowing in consistently.

5. Proof of freelance contract employment.

My husband just turned in his application for marriage affiliation with me for DTV. That should be an automatic, and easy acceptance.

I hope this helps!

I’m planning a visa trip to Kuala Lumpur for non-o retirement visa. Does this take 1 day to process? Does anybody have experience in this process and docs required?

Hi all, has anyone with DTV visa has experience with entering and leaving Thailand and then entering again?

If I get DTV visa I'm going to visit Thailand twice during short time and it is not clear what immigration officers can asked in airport.
