Applied in Jakarta on the 17th September and haven't heard back (today 25th September). The status below still says:

"Processing Pending Document Check (1)", I haven't received an Email from their side e.g asking for more documents, but would that appear also on their webpage if that was the case?

Anyone also experiencing this applying through Jakarta?

Thank you

Good morning 😃

May I kindly ask if it is acceptable to upload a black and white copy of the passport for the Thai DTV application?

Thank you in advance 😇❤️

I’d like to do a course for my DTV in Samui. Can anyone recommend a nice/good course please?

I was thinking cooking or massage but open to options?

I’m very creative so would love something I can really learn and grow experience from!

Thanks.

Can anyone tell us the stages? I'm at Processing Pending Document Check (1) and I'm assuming there is a "Submit more documents" and then what? Approved or Denied? TYIA

Anyone had thoughts about after the 5 years , do you think they will scrap the visa or give option to renew/reapply

Got approved for Muay Thai visa today, same day after the interview for 5 years. I used an agency which helped get all the documents in order before everything was submitted, IMO, this makes it worth the cost. They also have a service that can do the 90 day report for a small fee.

Short story though: about a month ago, I attempted to return to Thailand on a visa exempt status after my ED visa expired, I got grilled at the BKK border and was denied entry. I don't believe i was given a fair chance to demonstrate my Thai knowledge, the officers were quite hostile which totally threw me off and I hesitated having a conversation with them in Thai. They asked maybe 2 questions at most and spoke at a native level, didnt ask to see if I could read or write Thai - the experience afterwards was fking awful. Anyone that has been through this will know 😂... surprisingly very few first hand accounts of others experiences i can find online, but you literally get treated like a criminal.

Anyway, just curious if anyone has had an extended stay in thailand and now obtained the DTV. Will they ask to see a departure flight? Got the feeling if I fly back into BKK, they will try to give me a hard time for the most idiotic reasons even though I have a legit visa.

Please advise 🙏

Hello all,

I met with an agent from Siam legal about dtv visas in March, she told us only ONE of us had to show 500,000baht for three months. We followed her advice. I got my dtv yesterday, and we are leaving for 5 years on November 28th so only two months left. My wife has the money however not her account. We can put it in now but it won't be three months. We won't have a home in Canada after the 28th of november. Can she come in on a exempt visa and change for a dtv while in thailand?
