TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired if they could still utilize the 60-day visa exemption for an upcoming trip to Thailand, considering their previous entries this year. The community provided mixed insights, highlighting that as of the latest updates, new visa rules are pending, which may affect entry limits and exemptions. There are concerns about the number of times one can enter Thailand within a calendar year, with some suggesting applying for a tourist visa to ensure compliance.

Nobody knows how they will apply the rules. They only allow 2 visa-exempt entries per calendar year unless you can convince them you are a genuine tourist. Technically you have only entered once this year and you returned to your home country so I think you will be fine. They are cracking down on the border bounce brigade - the people using visa-exempt entries to stay in Thailand long term.

@Jon *****
did you take any extensions during these visits or ldid you eave at/before day 60 each time?

@Graham *****
Luckily not. Arrived in October last year did a border run in December then another one in Feb, which was a bloody faff as I accidentally overstayed by one day but got back in to Thailand with 60 days.Then left before 60 days expired.
