TLDR : Answer Summary
When entering Thailand with a one-way ticket, tourists may be asked for proof of onward travel within 60 days of arrival, but this largely depends on immigration practices and the airline's requirements. Some travelers report that immigration rarely checks for exit tickets, although airlines might request them. It is advisable to check with your airline and consider purchasing a low-cost train ticket to a neighboring country for peace of mind. Visa type may also affect whether an onward ticket is required, especially for those traveling under tourist visas or when applying for longer stays.
Th more of this info that is posted the more Confusing it gets. I am going back in March and want to book my return flight ahead of time for about 85 days from my arrival. Now I am reading that with no Visa of any kind my return flight must be booked for within the 60 days?
In the meantime I am about to apply for DTV.. if the above is correct, then the DYV would override that .. true. Note: This will be my 8th trip to Thailand . I just stay longer each time

You dont need any ticket home why would you ?
You have an exit ticket to the Philippines on April 1.
They dont care if you go home or to another country just must leave within your stamped in period.

Immigration rarely asks about a ticket out of Thailand, but your airline may ask. Just buy a cheap train ticket from Nong Khai to Vientiane. About 100 baht!
You stated you land in Thailand February 18, you need to show your airline (if asked) that you will leave Thailand before April 18 (60 days), if you leave Thailand on the 19th April you will have overstayed your visa exempt entry
yes the bits you need to complete have little red star/dot next to it. Ignore bits that dont

As a tourist you can be asked for proof of onward travel within 60 days of arrival. Normally it is your airline that will require this, ask them. Do you have a visa?
