Hi everyone

Q. 1 I arrive to Jomtien on a Non-O 90 day visa Nov 9. When opening a bank account can I use my Hotel address or do I need a lease for a condo?

Q. 2 After opening a bank account can I use Wise to deposit my 800k or do I need to transfer from an International bank?

TIA

We are leaving Thailand, but our flight is 12 days past our exemption visa. We are thinking about doing an extension. We haven't done one before, and we are worried because he just got a new passport, and the visa was in the old passport. Would an extension be put into an old passport or the new one? Would that be a problem? Would it be better to cross the border and just re-enter with the new passport? We are worried we will be denied reentry because we've had two exemption visas already. Any advice?

Trying to fill in TDAC on line form for return to Thailand from USA. I continually get error message when answering what countries I have been in the last 2 weeks. I have only been in USA, but USA is not being accepted. I have tried different browsers and have rechecked all info. I am on retirement vis in Thailand. Any suggestions? Thanks

Hey everyone, Iโ€™d really appreciate some advice on my visa situation ๐Ÿ™

My situation in short:

* ๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ช German, 29 years old

* ๐ŸŽ“ Officially a student (Bachelor in Applied AI) at an online University in Germany

* ๐Ÿ’ป Also working part-time remotely for a German company (but I donโ€™t have an official letter saying I can work from Thailand)

* ๐ŸฅŠ Planning to join a Muay Thai school for several months

* ๐Ÿ“Currently staying in Thailand on a tourist visa

* โœˆ๏ธ I need to leave Thailand by 20 November

* ๐Ÿ’ฐ Bank statement proof (up to 500,000 THB) is no problem

* ๐ŸŽฏ Goal: stay long-term (ideally DTV-Visa for 5 years, but 6 months would already help)

* ๐Ÿ’ธ Looking for a low-cost, transparent process โ€“ I know official DTV fees are 350 EUR, but agencies quote me 1,000 EUR+, which feels excessive

My questions:

* Has anyone successfully applied for a DTV-Visa themselves (without agency help)?

* Do you know a reliable Visa-Agency that charges a fair price?

* Is it possible to find a Muay Thai school that can provide the official *Letter of Education/Proof of Enrollment* directly, without going through an agency?

* Or is it true that self-applications usually cause issues with the Thai authorities?

Any tips or personal experiences would help me a lot. Thanks in advance ๐Ÿ™Œ

Any expats worldschool their children do you have a tutor or send them to school in Thailand? And what are the costs?

Looking at our options for the years we plan to be there (coming from the uk).

Our kids will be 10 and 8.

Open to all options, T.I.A
