Hello - DTV walk in appointment in Laos coming up and

I'm looking for feedback. For what? For some draft-answers for the application form. There are some points where I struggle a bit.

Recently I paid for a certified 8 month Muay Thai course. And I have proof of last 3 months 500k in bank account.

It would be so nice if I could get some insights/ feedback to my draft:

--Current Occupation / ອາຊີບປະຈơບັນ (specify position and employer)

My struggle: Currently nothing.. I live off of savings and also my father gave me some resources good for the next few month, one off.

What I actually do is: Preparing to start a small remote business/ freelancer structure with no dealings with Thailand. Customers will be businesses from UK/ Ireland/ Germany mostly.

Any advice here about how to best answer that question?! (my main concern). I am an honest guy that loves Thailand seriously - and I also will of course do the soft power activity - Muay Thai. So how can I deal with that question?

--TEL / EMAIL

Thai TEL OK - or better a EU/ foreign phone number?

--Proposed Address in Thailand

I rent a condo in BKK until March 2025. I will write this address..Do I need to attach proof?

--Date of Arrival in Thailand

22th November - is this too soon?!

--Traveling by

Don't know yet. Laos with bus to Udom and then plane probably.

What would you write here?

--Duration of Stay in Thailand

I don't know. I plan to travel to Malaysia in 2 - 3 months for 2-3 weeks.. OR: can I write sth. like: "Duration of stay as per DTV visa requirements, if DTV visa granted (less than 180 days per [each] entry)" ? :)

What did you guys write here?

--Name and Contact of Guarantor in Thailand

Can this be blank? - If not I would write sb. from the Muay Thai school. Even though of course it's not a guarantor. I'd assume this is a question for another type of Visa.

--Name and Contact of Guarantor in Lao PDR

Can this be blank? - If not I would write name of hostel owner.

Thanks - your input/ feedback is highly appreciated.

Hi Everyone,

Edit Post

Finally got a response from the Thai Embassy in Vientiane. Confirmed that they required 3 months of bank statement and each month is required to be over 500K

***

I'm going to apply for a DTV visa under Soft Power doing the Muay Thai courses at Thai Embassy in Vientiane

Looking for advices on the financial evidence since it is not clear on their website. I already emailed to the embassy and contacted them on social media but haven't received any responses

1. How many months of the bank statements should be submitted? 3 months or 6 months?

2. Does it require to show the minimum of 500,000 THB at the ending balance of every months or the last ending balance with amount of 500,000++ THB is acceptable?

Thank you so much!

Following all the posts in this group, I have seen some who are not interested or able to register as nomad digital workers to apply for this visa.

Remember there are other alternatives listed as Thai Soft Power Activities

So if you do not work online but want to apply, you can still qualify for the Thailand DTV Visa if you plan to engage in “Thai Soft Power” activities. These include:

Muay Thai courses

Thai cooking courses

Sports training

Medical treatment

Seminars

Music festivals

I have now made contact with a school for this cookery course in the north eastern province of Khon Kaen. Been there with my friend Wanida Somruecha for a meeting and tour of the facilities. This gives a different environment to engaging in this course in a city like Bangkok for instance. It is a small family run business on the outskirts of the city, but easy access to shopping malls, night markets etc. They also offer a mixed dormitory bed included in the price or help find accommodate nearby for 600 baht per night.

Classes are for a max of 5 students so you get the upmost attention to gain that extra knowledge too.

I have 2 questions in the bottom.

But for some explanation.

I am pending approval for the DTV

Requirements 1 to 4 I have.

I am only missing no 5

I have paid the fee and they wanted additional information regarding being a freelancer.

( I have been self-employed since I was young )

Most of my customers and wholesale is done online from Danish customers ( I been living in Bulgaria since 2020 )

I have provided additional documents showing statements of remote work.

( I hope that it will get approved ).

However IF the additional documents is not proof enough, maybe because my income from this source is diminishing.

My focus since I left Denmark, is more on my investments.

Sow if not approved I am ready to apply again an the use the Thai soft power approach.

Proof of confirmation to attempt the activity.

Under Eligible Foreingers is sad

2 participates in activities such as

- Thai cooking classes

- Muay Thai courses

I called the embassy in Bucharest to ask about the 5b and what Thai cocking class school / classes will count towards no 5 b Thai soft power. ?

The only answer I got it was a question back, if I was a cook.

That confuse me !

Is this correct that if I want to apply via 5 b Thai soft power Thai cooking classes.

I shall be a Cook first ?

Next question will be if I choose to take Muay Thai courses

Do I have to be a karate black belt

hope somebody can clarify this for me or point me in a direction where it stayed it more clearly than in the picture below.

Thanks

Please advise on a visa agent that will get the DTV done with certainty, using “soft activities” as a basis. Proof of funds can be presented but proof of consistent monthly income may not.

Has anyone applied through 'Thai Soft Power Activities,' such as Muay Thai courses, Thai cooking courses, Thai language courses, etc.?

I would like to know if there is a minimum length for the courses, minimum academic performance requirements, etc.

Thank you!

Hi, has anyone gotten the DTV visa on the basis of the "soft power" options of seminars, courses or musical events? If so, could you let us know how you did it? Many thanks!
