Hey folks!

I’m considering to apply for the Digital Tourist Visa (DTV) from Singapore and trying to figure out the Digital Nomad vs Soft Power routes.

For the Digital Nomad track—does anyone know if you *have* to have a registered business, or can freelancers get by with just a portfolio? Also, if you have your own company, does your own company letter work for the “letter from company” thing?

And for Soft Power—are there specific companies or activities you have to be with? Any minimum time you need to do them?

Would love to hear how it worked for you or what you’ve heard. Thanks!

Thinking about getting a DTV visa in Vietnam by enrolling in a Muay Thai course.

Anyone here tried this route or know how it works? (documents, suggestions etc)

Would love to hear your experience! And if you can share reliable agents or good Muay Thai courses, thank you so much!

Hi there, just wondering where does everyone add on their cover letter with brief explanation of intent to apply for the dtv? Does it go in one pdf just before the financial evidence or my softpower documents? Another thing would be, if my muay thai courses will be in bangkok, can I provide travel details for another city, as we had plans to travel around first? Thanks!

Which soft power will refund you if you get rejected? It doesn't seem okay to me not to refund the course if you get rejected.

Good morning. I am looking to apply for the DTV from the UK using soft power either culinary or muy Thai. I’ve read on here that it’s better to apply sooner rather than later even though I don’t intend to come out until later this year. I am coming for a short holiday next month though so should I apply for DTV in time for that or come out on a 60 day tourist visa? I Have everything I need for the DTV apart from the course. I’m just not sure how the course part works if I don’t plan to start it until October. I know that the visa is 5 years and there is no requirement to arrive by any particular time but since I have to submit course documents would the embassy question why I am applying now for a course that starts later this year? Plus also coming out next month for a 2 week stay?

Hi everyone,

So I have my DTV and have recently done my 90 day reporting at Cheung watthana.

My question is this

I have joined fitfac for the courses which expire in 9months...has anyone else done the same? And have they been told they need to reregister for more Muay Thai courses for the visa requirements ?

I asked fitfac and didn't really get an answer...maybe they don't know themselves

Thanks in advance

Nice little tool/ life hack to help with you hunt for a DTV soft power:

Facebook/Meta has a searchable Library of ALL advertisements currently active on the platform. by searching "DTV Visa" you can find any business currently running ads targeting people looking for DTV applicable courses.

This could be useful for finding courses you may have not been aware of before and finding courses with low advertisement budgets that may have not otherwise have reached you.

Tips:

-Set the country to Thailand

-Set your preffered language

-play around with different keywords e.g. Citys, Interests, Etc

KEEP IN MIND:

-ANYONE can make a business account and run ads on Facebook

-If it looks sketchy or too good to be true, it is.

-Do your research to verify businesses are legitimate and have a physical presence in Thailand.

Feel free to use this post to comment on your findings, concerns, and questions, or give any more tips.
