I did the border run two months ago... I had recently obtained the "yellow book" and "pink ID card"....I thought this established my residence... not so..... when I went to immigration a couple days ago to obtain the 30 day extension... I was told that I had needed to do the TM30 upon my return... 800 Baht fine... plus the 1900 Baht for the extension... at least I did get my extension ..

I have a few questions about the proof of savings of 500k for the DTV visa.

Some seem to provide 3 months of bank statements & some 6. How many months are actually officially required?

If your savings are held in different accounts and you transfer them into the same account, how long do you have to show the full 500k in that account for them to accept it?

Another option of financial proof seems to be payslips. If you own a business and invoice clients weekly, would that be acceptable?

Do they accept proof of a certain monthly income rather than 500k savings?

Or weekly income paid by clients into a personal bank account?

Thanks

When providing bank statements for visa extension (e.g. annual extension based on Thai wife):

-if using the monthly deposit method rather than seasoned ฿400,000 method, is the statement up to date of application still required, or earlier in current month ok, as long as it shows the deposit in current month?

-can a bank account without a passbook be used? I've moved bank accounts to SCB, and they've given me an 'e-passbook', essentially it's passbook cover page with account number, but no pages for showing transactions /balance, but can generate statement to pdf. So if I used that account for immigration, I can't provide the updated passbook, as the account doesn't have one.

After one year my retirement visa will expire Feb 18 2025. I want to go back to Thailand at around that time. I need advice: Should I let it expire and then go or better to go before it expires? I also want to ask about changing it to a regular tourist visa in which case is better to let it expire ? or is it easier to change to a tourist visa within Thailand ?

Thank you all

Hi, I'm on a non immigration O visa (Thai Spouse). I started a new job this month after 6 months unemployed so I had no income those 6 months.

My extension of stay paperwork is due to be submitted early May. Do I need to keep the 400k in my account as part of the submission or can I now show them my employment contract as I'm on more than the monthly requirements, or do I need to keep the 400k in for this year's submission as I haven't had a full 12 months of salary? Thanks in advance

Does my spouse have to have 500k in an account of their own? All of our accounts are joint. Can I submit the same proof for both of us? What about our son? He's under 8. We have an investment account for him but it's not in his name because he's a minor.
