Once you obtain a reentry permit.. How long is it good for? Does it expire after a few months or it never expires (only till u use it obviously),, i am asking because i am thinking about getting one and have it ready in case of an emergency

My advice is bring both: a letter from the Thai bank and, print outs/bank statements/ screenshots from the bank you transfer the money from

I am not 100% sure but in my particular case, I had the 800k for about 4 months prior to yesterday's appointment.

Good point, .. if I want to stay in Thailand lest say 8 or 9 months out of the year, then the Non- OA (Long Stay) would be a better choice?

The Non OA.. is technically not a "retirement visa?" Is it more like a "multi entry" visa? Thank you for your comment, I want to find out the best option for me, I would prefer to have the money in my home country if possible.

Thank you Tod. Is it difficult to get approved for the 30 days regular extension? and after the 30 days , is it difficult to get approved for the 60 days covid extension?
