Hi, I'm on a non immigration O visa (Thai Spouse). I started a new job this month after 6 months unemployed so I had no income those 6 months.

My extension of stay paperwork is due to be submitted early May. Do I need to keep the 400k in my account as part of the submission or can I now show them my employment contract as I'm on more than the monthly requirements, or do I need to keep the 400k in for this year's submission as I haven't had a full 12 months of salary? Thanks in advance

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user has a non-immigrant O visa (Thai Spouse) and is inquiring if they need to maintain 400,000 baht in their bank account for their visa extension now that they have a job with a salary above the minimum threshold. The discussion reveals that while the 400k amount must be in the account for at least 2 months prior to the application, the monthly income method requires showing 3 months of salary and other employment documents. Users suggest keeping the 400k in the account as a precaution and recommend consulting with the immigration office and employer about necessary documentation before making any changes.

Best just leave that 400K there forever as you plan stay Thailand, I personally made it a savings fund. Use the salary as monthly budget

you better talk with your employer in advance as well. You will need some company-related documents including those they get or get certified from government agencies when you use monthly income from legally working in Thailand, not only your own personal tax document and contract. If they don't agree to provide them, you cannot use monthly income in Thailand as your financial proof. Get the latest requirements about this point from your local immigration office before you talk with your employer.

The seasoning for banked money method based on marriage to a thai is the 400K baht needs to be in the account for 2 months before you apply. There is no other seasoning requirement on it.

The requirements for monthly income method based on legally working in thailand are usually to show a minimum of 3 months of income, tax paper, contract, work permit etc..

I'd keep the 400k in the bank for now and would go talk to your immigration office to see how many months they want of salary using monthly income method based on legally working in thailand

Last thing you want to do is find out they want 6 months of salary and you don't have it, and you don't have the 400k in the bank..
