For reference purposes:

Just got approved for the DTV.

Type: workcation (full-time employee for a company in The Netherlands)

Location: Ho Chi Minh City

Application date: 6 Jan

Documents supplied:

6 months bank statements, Revolut, with closing balance of 15,500 euro (over 500,000 baht)

1 year worth of payslips

Employment contract, translated to english by myself (not legalised/authenticated)

Letter from my senior manager approving remote work specifically for the DTV (not legalised/authenticated)

Legalised Chamber of Commerce extract of the company i work for

On the 9th I got requested for extra documents, requesting more details of my role in the company, CV, portfolio, work examples and supporting materials demonstrating experience and qualifications.

Wrote a letter explaining my role, going into detail what work i do and what my daily workday looks like. Reminded them that i am a full-time employee, not a freelancer so I can't provide a portfolio, work examples, etc. Also mentioned due to the nature of my job, i am bound by a confidentiality clause.

Went to "pending approval" on the 10th.

Approved today.

So happy as I was a little afraid i would get rejected due to the documents not being authenticated by the dutch embassy as it was advised. Glad that stress is now over.

Hi everyone,

Has anyone applied for the DTV with a sponsorship letter from their employer instead of having 500,000 THB in their own bank account? My friend is a remote worker, and their employer has offered to provide a sponsorship letter to support the application.

On the official website ([[members only])), it states:

*"Financial evidence: amount of no less than 500,000 THB, e.g., bank statements, sponsorship letter."*

This seems to suggest that sponsorship documents are accepted as financial evidence. Has anyone had success with this? Could it depend on how well-established the sponsoring company is?

Thanks for sharing any experiences or advice!

Looks like they're tweaking the LTR requirements a bit.

Remote worker: company needs to show 50 million in income over 3 years instead of 150 million.

Wealthy global citizen: no more monthly income requirement

Remove the cap on dependant LTR visas from 4 to unlimited.

They are also gutting the Smart visa program and completely getting rid of it except for the Startup category.

I am in Prasat, Surin. Chong Chom is my closest border crossing. I want to do a border run. Does anybody have any info on the latest experience there? Do I have to stay one or two days in Cambodia? I don't have a car at the moment so an extension in Surin is my last choice.

I'm on a yearly marriage visa extension which will expire on Feb 6. I understand that you can apply for an extension 45 days or less in advance at a local immigration office.

If I were to say, apply for an extension on Jan 29th, would I lose those 8 days? Couldn't find any info on this. Sorry if it's already been asked many times.

hi good morning from bkk.

I have a question about filling in tm 7 n 8.

in tm 7 (application for extension), the blank 'Arrived by.....from....'

should I write my most recent trip coming back to bkk from other cities or my home city that I applied for my non immigrant oa visa but that was not my most recent trip?

Likewise, in tm 8 (application for re-entry visa), on pg 2, the blank ' i arrived in Thailand on....date...'

Should I write my most recent trip back to bkk or the date I left my home city after obtaining the visa?

Thanks for your time.

I have an visa ext based on support of a Thai child, up to now my funds have been paid internationally, but l have an option to do it Internally, does anyone know with any clarity if its acceptable to immigration? I suspect it might "depend on the office". KR

Not quite the topic of this site but has anyone received a 'text' from immigration promoting a link for the 90 Days Report? Not sure if it's a scam or not.

I have a few questions regarding the 1 yr Extension for the Non O marriage visa.

- based in BKK, so I will go to CW. I read that the under consideration period is 21 days there and that I can apply from -45days onwards. If I go early, let’s say 40 days before, is the under consideration period still 21 days or the full 40 days?

- in regard to the bank letter with the 400k. I assume this is just the print out of all the past transactions + the signature of the branch manager right?

- those 6 pictures of me together with my wife have to be taken at specific locations within and in front of our condo?

Thanks a lot
