For reference purposes:
Just got approved for the DTV.
Type: workcation (full-time employee for a company in The Netherlands)
Location: Ho Chi Minh City
Application date: 6 Jan
Documents supplied:
6 months bank statements, Revolut, with closing balance of 15,500 euro (over 500,000 baht)
1 year worth of payslips
Employment contract, translated to english by myself (not legalised/authenticated)
Letter from my senior manager approving remote work specifically for the DTV (not legalised/authenticated)
Legalised Chamber of Commerce extract of the company i work for
On the 9th I got requested for extra documents, requesting more details of my role in the company, CV, portfolio, work examples and supporting materials demonstrating experience and qualifications.
Wrote a letter explaining my role, going into detail what work i do and what my daily workday looks like. Reminded them that i am a full-time employee, not a freelancer so I can't provide a portfolio, work examples, etc. Also mentioned due to the nature of my job, i am bound by a confidentiality clause.
Went to "pending approval" on the 10th.
Approved today.
So happy as I was a little afraid i would get rejected due to the documents not being authenticated by the dutch embassy as it was advised. Glad that stress is now over.
