Now I’m planning to apply for the Soft-power (Medical Treatment) category, as I have a year-long treatment history at a specific hospital.
If anyone here has applied for this category before, I’d be truly grateful for any tips or suggestions—especially on what additional documents could improve the chances of approval 🙏.
Thank you in advance to anyone who can step forward to help—it would mean a lot.
Hello everyone I am applying for my DTV remote worker visa from Vientiane, Laos. I arrived on the 26th, completed and uploaded all relevant files to the Thai Evisa portal by the 28th. Then on the 29th i wasnt able to pay at the consulate because there were too many people in line but was finally able to the next day on the 30th.
On the 31st I received email asking for additional documents and to re-upload another one. Then the next day on Aug 1st I received email for appointment at the Thai consulate for the 13th! A lot faster than I had hoped. Taking a quick holiday around Laos now before I return to Vientiane for the interview.
Is there anyone who has been through this interview process? And if so please share some of the questions asked would be greatly appreciated!!
Best of luck to everyone out there going through the process! Make sure your documents are clear and well put together!
When submitting the application should there be photo copies of every passport page? Or just the biodata page and arrival stamp page if applying from a country other than home country? Can you stay at multiple hotels while waiting for application to process or just stick to one?
Applied for DTV (Remote Worker) through the Thai Embassy in Singapore in early July.
Day 1 - Submitted application
Day 3 - Embassy asked for more documents including:
- Employer's updated ACRA within the last 3 months (previous version was an old ACRA document)
- Employer's letter to be addressed to Thai Embassy, Singapore specifically stating that I was allowed to work in Thailand. (previous letter submitted was addressed to "to whom it may concern", and "allowed to work anywhere in the world"
- Detailed bank statements (previously I submitted only the first page)
- Screenshot of my latest bank balance AFTER the 3 months of bank statements
- Proof of accomodation (they mentioned specifically AirBnB not allowed)
Day 6 - I only noticed the request on Day 5 and submitted everything they requested for on Day 6
Day 14 - Approved
Data Points:
- I had between SGD20k to SGD30k in the bank for the entire period of 3 months
- I still kept the minimum balance in there after submiting documents, hence my screenshot satisfied that additional criteria
- My salary is about SGD10,000, and I have been with the company for 3 years
Some thoughts: SG Thai Embassy is definitely pretty strict. I feel like they are trying to poke and find holes in what I thought was an honest and straightforward application. But otherwise, happy to have this approved.
I’m currently based in Hanoi and I’m planning to apply for the Remote Worker Visa myself. However, I’ve heard of many cases where applications for this visa have been rejected, which makes me a bit hesitant. I’ve been in Hanoi for one year and I want to leave soon.
Would you recommend working with an agent to handle the process? Or would it be better to try and find a Thai gym to sponsor me instead? Is my one year status could affect my application? Anyone with the same experience
I’d really appreciate any advice or recommendations you might have. I’m eager to move forward soon, but I find the official website a bit confusing.
I plan to apply for DTV (remote worker) in July/August in Indonesia. The question is, can I go to Bali and apply at Jakarta embassy or I have to be specifically in Jakarta to do that?
Soon I’ll have a DTV interview (remote worker) in Vientiane. I’m wondering if I need to print the pdf files that I uploaded during the application (financials, portfolio). The email says “Kindly bring all relevant original documents, including your passport.”
I’m just asking this because I’ve read “just show up” in the group multiple times but when I was paying for the visa fee I actually had to print out the invoice with the QR code on it (they stamped it after payment). People without the printed invoice were turned around.
I’ll bring my passport and laptop to show them whatever they want to see and I’ just wondering if I need to print anything else just in case.
hi lovely people! i just wanted to thank you to everyone who has contributed in this group
