I recently learned that if you stay in Thailand for more than 180 days, you’re considered a tax resident and have to pay taxes there.
But I’m still a bit confused — does that mean taxes need to be paid in both countries (my home country and Thailand)? Or can I transfer all my tax obligations fully to Thailand?
Also, how is this actually tracked if I can’t open a Thai bank account yet? Like… how do they even verify that money was received in Thailand in the first place?
Would really appreciate any insights or experiences on this topic 🙏
Hello all, i have just gotten my DTV and currently in bangkok. Looking to purchase an insurance for hospitalisation coverage in thailand. Would appreciate recommendations 🙏
Hello everyone, regarding the DTV visa’s required bank balance and transaction statement, what format did you use? Do they need to be officially issued by the bank, or are mobile banking screenshots acceptable?Thank you for your reply.
If the DTV visa… under the soft powers ( I think that’s what it’s called ?) … includes studying Thai language ? Or not
I know the ED Visa is for studying Thai but wasn’t sure if the DTV is also ?
And does anyone also know if on the ED visa … wondering if it’s always in person Classes ? Or hypothetically if you wanted to be situated more rural participating in a not for profit volunteer program .. and you want to study Thai at night online will that be acceptable on ED visa .. or if it has to be in person classes.
Just curious if anyone has an personal experience with this before I then potentially try to ask a visa agent etc
I have a DTV visa and living in bangkok. If I want to apply the tourist visa for Japan, is it possible? Has anyone experienced for applying other countries visa with DTV?
