I would like to know if you can apply for Destination Thailand Visa while you are in Thailand already?

Also before coming to Thailand i got 90 days tourist visa single entry but immigration stamped 60 days from entry. Anybody had similar case? Now not sure when I should leave the country. Asked issuing embassy and immigration office but no answer...

Should I book a flight for my next exit in 6 months upon arrival back I to Thailand? I heard that some people entering were required this. Also does anyone know which entry point is smoother? Chiang Mai or Bangkok?

Has anybody put Airbnb as the hotel address on your tdac. ?

I did on my last one, they had harassed me more about my phone case and my gf picture on it then the tdac. But I’m thinking that’s not wise to put on the tdac

Hello everyone, I am gathering some info concerning this process. I just found out in a website that the application for the DTV has to be made from the country you have your employment / country you live in? Is that true? Thanks a lot

There might be EXTRA concern for those coming into Thailand from Cambodia.

There are messages seen on Social Media about foreigners working for the Cambodia army/government to create unrest in Thailand.

It has nothing to do with your visa or that you travel a lot as DTV holder.

Anyone recommend a Visa Agent or is it just that simple to go fly to a neighbouring country and provide the relevant documents?

Hello everyone🙏

Hoping for some advice or help - I’m looking at getting the DTV to stay in Thailand long term without any bs boarder runs etc - would like to do it legit

I’m a bit unsure on the best/correct process (for myself) and like I said would like to get it/apply for it the correct way

I was thinking via Muay Thai as would like to learn the sport - but ultimately it doesn’t matter if via that method or not (will still train regardless)

Just wondering would be willing to talk me through the process/help me deciding which method will be best for me?

Let me know, any help is appreciated 🙏

I arrived at BKK Suvarnabhumi Airport for the first time on December 10, 2025, via DTV. I didn't have a return ticket. The stamp said until June 7, 2026.

Zero questions.

# 😕2 months payslips + signed contract + strong savings. Enough?

Planning to apply for DTV (Workcation) from Sydney in January. Wanted to get a sanity check from people who've been through it.

My situation:

* Australian passport, applying from Sydney

* Left my job in March (career break)

* Signed consultant agreement starting January 2025 (remote)

* 2 months of freelance income (September and December) via PayPal

* Savings 2-3x above the 500K THB requirement

* 7 years professional background (consulting).

My concern: I see 6 months of payslips listed as a requirement. I don't have that but I have strong savings and a signed contract.

Has anyone been approved with less than 6 months payslips if savings and contract were solid?

Also considering Soft Power (Muay Thai) as a backup but would prefer Workcation as I want to test gyms out when I am actually there. But if that's the better play, I can consider it.

Appreciate any insights.

Cheers.
