Hello!

I’m looking for guidance on visa extension options.

My situation:

I previously worked in Bangkok but have resigned and left the country.

I re-entered Thailand on a visa exemption.

I plan to apply for a Dependent Visa from my home country, but that process can only start in early February.

My current visa exemption expires on 13 January.

My questions:

1. Am I eligible to apply for a 30-day extension of stay on a visa exemption?

2. How many days before the expiry date can I apply?

3. Which immigration office should I go to if I live in the Sathorn area, Bangkok?

Any recent experiences or official guidance would be really helpful.

Thank you in advance 🙏

Has anyone had to deal with a lost or stolen UK passport.

I've reported the lost to the police and now I'm in the process of trying to get a new one, the sticking point is that I've got to have a counter signed photo by someone that I've known for 2 years and has an EU or British passport, I don't know anybody that has this, any thoughts on the subject.

Hi confused

Looking to buy a condo

3 different ways foreign freehold Thai freehold leasehold

I now you need to be Thai to buy Thai freehold(and possible bit cheaper)

But why do the prices so different for same type of propertys

I understand leasehold length off lease could make a difference

Can understand why there can be so much difference in price

I started the process to extend my non-resident O visa today and had a disagreeable surprise at the bank. When they issued me my bank letter, they said that I would have to go to Immigration TODAY to do the extension, otherwise the letter would be invalid.

Used to be it would be accepted even if it was several days old. Luckily, my Immigration office is not terribly busy; I can't imagine what it would be like to do everything in one day if I were in Bangkok or Chiangmai. Is this common throughout the kingdom now?

Applied for the non-immigration O 90 day retirement visa on December 4th. Granted today, 23rd December. London.

Go into Thailand on 25th January so my next challenge is to get the retirement extension for a year.

Hi, everyone.

I just started my DTV application and was obtaining the various documents I'll need. I was thinking that my Trading 212 Cash ISA would be fine as evidence for the at least 500,000 THB for at least the past 3 months. But I'm seeing conflicting information on this and now I'm unsure. Among other savings accounts and current account, I definitely have more than the 500,000 THB, but I'm also unsure if they will accept it being spread around like this (although I don't see why not to be honest).

So two questions: 1. Is the Trading 212 Cash ISA acceptable, and 2. Is it acceptable to have several accounts as evidence all of which sum to more than the 500,000 THB (for the required minimum of 3 months)?

Can someone please suggest some medical insurance companies for the visa that are accepted by the Thai embassy? And do I need the attached document from the embassy that they will fill out?

Hi folks . I have just purchased 1968 IDP in the UK ready for my trip.

As I’m getting on in age - having passed my car driving test in 1987 - I have classes AM and A endorsed on my UK drivers licence but there is no such equivalent class as AM on an IDP - instead Class A1 has been endorsed/stamped .

When questioning this The guy serving me said A1 class is treated the same as the old AM license class for IDP. (He showed me his guidance booklet).

Basically what I asking is reassurance that I am not likely to come up against the law if I hired a 50cc scooter, and 2nd - are you able carry a passenger on a 50cc scooter - or not.

I just went on the Thai embassy website. It gives you the option of filling out a Non O retirement visa. I have heard you can still open a Thai bank account in Thailand, then do the retirement visa in Thailand. Is this a good option instead of the OA retirement visa? I live in the United States

Has anyone applied for an OA visa and got denied? What if we apply and we don’t receive the e visa before we fly. What do we do if we get to Thailand and it’s denied? Can we still reapply while in Thailand?
