Thank you, but I'm aware of that. I was offering assistance to the OP, not asking for advice. 😀

Both come over on tourist visas and do it here. If your husband gets a non immigrant o in your country, you will need a large amount of health insurance. Much more cost effective here in Thailand.

For you, have you considered an Education visa where you learn the Thai language twice a week? Or a volunteer visa.

Once here, get a good visa agent and you'll have no issues.

Which province are you in? We have an awesome agent in Chiang Mai.

We've had experience with both and Air Asia didn't weigh our hand luggage. Maybe they are selective with which cabin bags they weigh.

65k per month or 800k in a Thai bank account. These are the rules. Not sure about being married to a Thai though. Probably different rules.

Download a form called a TM7, fill it out with the help of an agent. You can do it yourself but my advice it to use an agent. If no agent, go to immigration, pay 1900 THB for the pleasure of a further 30 day stay in the beautiful Kingdom of Thailand.

Renew your tourist visa for a further 30 days.

Hi Dennis, If you're over 50, you can apply for non immigrant o which gives you 3 months, then apply for the retirement visa which gives you one year. You will need to do 90 day check-ins and renew your retirement visa yearly.

Use a visa agent the first time as there is a lot of paperwork involved.
