Has anyone in this group made a claim on their travel insurance when traveling in Thailand? If so, how successful was it?

We have booked multiple internal flights with both Air Asia and Thai Air. Our personal experience with Thai air was way better than Asia Air. Asia Air weighs every bag and if its even a little over, they checked it and charged for it to be checked. I guess a bit our fault but Thai Air did not do that. The flight was 1 hr late with no update or notification to passengers and these are the smallests seats we have ever been on. My husbands knees are pushed into the seat in front of him. We will stay with Thai Air in the future.

Ok so booked a flight to Chang Mai with Nok. Supposed to fly at 1.05 pm and had a txt to say put back to 2.15 pm.

Ok you think a bit more time to get there. Arrived at the airport and was told at 12.15 our boarding time was 12.35 which I thought was strange as we would sit on the plane for a long time.

So quickly went through to gate and the kids with us bought some noodles. Within 3 minutes our names are called out at 12.45. Rushed onto the plane and told to throw away noodles because they can’t eat them on the plane.

Took off at 1pm

What a disappointment but thats Nok air. Check in girl had a blank look on her face when I showed her the txt. Screen for the flight said 2 pm take off.

Be careful when you fly out guys

Attempt number 3 failed to enter Thailand. How on earth can they delay the layover flight by a week. What a joke.

Hello, I've read through the posts about how long the Thai pass is good for. I see 72 hours. My flight was cancelled and was scheduled for today, Dec 8. to fly at 12:41 I'm rebooking for a flight on Saturday Dec 11 which will depart at 0900. Does anyone think this might be an issue? I'm unclear about the 72 hours window.

Thanks for your help

Can anybody advise what would happen if my flight is delayed and this then causes my RT PCR test to be over 72 hours? I can’t get hold of my airline and there’s nothing on there website, I have a very tight booking due to being over Christmas and limited availability in my areas for tests 😬

Just reading KLM travel advice, it states COVID negative test is valid for up to 96 Hours.

If flight delay is proven to be beyond doubt, no fault of the passenger.

Informed today by COVID test clinic in UK, if flight delayed and 72 hours exceeded prior departure, may require another test.

Depends on airline, one couple paid £200 each for new tests.
