Thanks but I went today to get the application and they told me to come back tomorrow because their printers weren’t working. I downloaded all paperwork and want to go prepared as there’s a long queue.

not 100 % sure of cost. Retirement is 1900.

If you want to save money don’t use an agent. I did my “retirement visa“ myself. Was easy peasy. I think an extension based on retirement (retirement visa) is a lot easier than a marriage visa. If you go the marriage visa route. You need photos of you and your partner. Immigration will visit the house. Talk to neighbours etc. An extension based on retirement is less complicated. Fill out the application. Use the check list to make sure all documents are in order. I did mine in Kohn Kean. It took about 45 minutes.

Yup I read “Even your country is not issuing….” The “IF” was missing.

Even if your country is not issuing….

My apologies.

Ummm You’re incorrect about my embassy. They issue verification AKA Affidavit letters to show proof of income. I got one last year and I’m going again in a few days to get another one. Canada issues them. USA, UK, Australia does not.

Jack how old are you? Extension based on retirement an option?

What country is he from? I’m Canadian and don’t need the 800 K in bank. My pension is more than 65 K a month. Canada is one of the few countries who issues verification letters for proof of funds.
