I'm doing my Thai visa application. I'm a US citizen. Im asked to upload the following: "Confirmation of legal residence in a country in which you are applying for the visa. (In case that you are not a national of the country in which you are applying for the visa.)"

Do I need to upload anything since I'm a national of the US and I'm applying from the US?

Thanks in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A US citizen applying for a Thai visa from the US does not need to upload an additional document for legal residence confirmation. A copy of the US passport is typically sufficient for the application.

I uploaded my drivers license, seemed to work as I was approved, I figured they already had a picture of my passport, seems redundant
