When it comes to forcing people to quarantine at a government approved place. Cheap, or inexpensive is not in the vocabulary. Why bother coming until all the rules simmer down a bit. Two weeks in quarantine is a complete waste of time and money. The bars closed last April 20th. They just opened up with high restrictions. Can only serve between 11-2 & 5-11. Pool tables must be covered with plants on top. When I say they stop at 11 it’s actually 10:30 and you get the bums rush at 10:50. I don’t understand why they closed the bars where there are places that only have 6 people in. Yet they’ll invite thousands of people for a music festival. But that’s ok because there was no alcohol. 😉😉😉
I did my 90 day June & September. In and out 3 minutes. December it exploded. 90 day report was ok about 22 minutes. They just collected the passports while you wait outside. The other queue for visas was long. Every time I pass by it’s jammed packed. Them closing for 90 minutes for lunch doesn’t help either.
My first retirement visa was done in Kohn Kean. Took 45 minutes and she did everything for me. Photocopies etc. Not here. Thank god it’s only once a year.
So I went to immigration. Total time 4 hours. The only hiccup was. They wanted my pension papers that I showed the Canadian Embassy. So I’m not sure what the affidavit is for if they can see the original pension statement.
Anyway I go back Thursday to pick up my passport.
My advice? Go at 7:45 am. Anytime after 9:30 is suicide. They close for lunch at 11:30 until 1:00 pm.
