Find a Thai friend in the uk and get them to send it. No taxes to pay. We brought a 40ft container full of stuff including a fridge freezer, furniture etc etc and put it in my wife’s name. I had to pay 2000 baht for the power tools only.

I’m leaving to Penang this morning as I want to change my expiring elite visa to retirement, but no choice but to exit Thailand which I don’t really want to do.

Einat Yarhi correct. I use insulin and metformin. As well as statins. I get a check up and prescription every 3 months and full bloods tests every year. Honestly it’s better than the Uk nhs and affordable, my diabetes has improved significantly to the point I’m using 65% less insulin than I was in the uk.

I have diabetes and I searched and searched and even international policies won’t cover pre existing conditions. I have wr life which has a five year moratorium on diabetes related illnesses, I use the government hospital for my diabetes management and frankly it’s excellent

a search on AI says

There’s no official top ten list or recent poll ranking foreign nationalities that Thai people find undesirable overall. Opinions vary a lot, but from online discussions, forums, and anecdotal reports, common complaints about tourists (not all individuals, just stereotypes of bad behavior) often point to these groups:

1. Chinese – loud, rude manners, cutting queues (big issue pre-COVID when numbers were huge).

2. Indian – haggling too hard, scamming perceptions, or group behaviors seen as pushy.

3. Russian – especially in Phuket, complaints about rowdy or entitled attitudes post-Ukraine war influx.

4. Arab/Middle Eastern – sometimes linked to strict demeanor or cultural clashes in tourist spots.

5. Cambodian – more about neighboring rivalry than tourism.

Beyond that, it’s scattered – some mention (backpacker stereotypes), drunk Westerners

So there is no top ten.

where do you get your information from ? I have no desire to know the top 5 because I don’t indulge in bigotry and racism which you clearly subscribe to. I would say you are an undesirable in any country including your own.
