Depends what time your flight is. If it's the early hours of the 2nd, you can go through immigration late on the 1st.

I think it basically means you have to register where you live within 24hrs. If you move you will have to do it again.

, he probably is. But the van leaves at 1:30 when the consulate opens. I jump in a cab to the border, get an airport van. That way you are back in bkk at 9pm.
