How many days will I get with my SETV and extension when entering Thailand by land?

Just got my SETV from the embassy in Vientiane, Laos. Extremely efficient and no hassle. I had a toursit visa then a nonB for 2 years then an exempt stamp and an extension. I am using the Nokair ride and fly service to skip the long minivan ride so I will be entering by land then flying from Udon Thani to Don muang (Domestic flight). Will this give me 30 days or 60 days with my SETV + the 30 day extension as I am entering my land? Thanks :-)

TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster (O/P) recently acquired a Single Entry Tourist Visa (SETV) from the embassy in Vientiane, Laos. They are entering Thailand by land using Nok Air's ride and fly service and want to know how many days they will receive: 30 days or 60 days. According to community feedback, entering by land with an SETV will grant them 60 days in Thailand, with an option to extend by an additional 30 days. The discussion also touched upon the smooth crossing at the Thai/Lao Friendship Bridge and the O/P's preference to avoid the potential hassles at international entry points.

UPDATE: Just crossed at the Thai/Lao Friendship bridge and it was no hassle at all. Got a smile and some directions :-)

, do you know if I have to show proof of residency at Chaeng Wattana immigration office? I forgot to register at Samut Prakan when I came in, so I'm want to use Chaeng Wattana instead?

Thanks Tod👍🏻

@Ja***
, nope you don' t need that at CW

I'm going use my old address. Just wanted to know if you needed proof of residence at that address. I know Samut Prakan you do. Not sure about CW

I believe you have to use an address in the area served by the immigration office. I don't think you can use a Samut Prakan address and get the extension out at Chaengwattana.

Sorry! Just 30 day tourist extension.

, said, you'll get 60 days.

Don't confuse entering without a visa by land (on a 30 day visa exempt entry) with entering the country by land WITH a visa in your passport. You'll get stamped in for however many days that visa allows you. In your case 60 days.

If you want to fly, why don't you get the AirAsia from the airport in Vientiane? Nok Air means you still have to travel by land and you have to wait one more day anyway as it leaves when the consulate opens.

Yes I want a land border entry instead of an international entry at Don Muang, by doing it with Nokair, I have a domestic flight so no worries after I cross the border. And I have the time so an extra day in Laos is not problem at all :-)

(y) that works too ;)

, he probably is. But the van leaves at 1:30 when the consulate opens. I jump in a cab to the border, get an airport van. That way you are back in bkk at 9pm.

I think the O/P is doing a smart thing about using the fly-n-ride to enter the country by land rather than flying into Don Mueang from abroad. That way he's already stamped into the country and avoids the passport control at DM Airport where they infrequently target people based on visa history.

SETV is 60 days. By land or air. You can extend by 30 day.

Thanks Phil! Someone confused me in the queue, probably mistaken for the exempt stamp :-)
