As IT person I see how this system work and it failed a lot of times for me. I prefer papers as this is not much work and I can do this one time in 3 months... Especially compared to previous year, I had just one report because I always travel each 3 months and "counter" reset every time...
Mail 90 days is the best, as IF online system reject application or someone get notified "please visit immigration office" then will need to visit immigration in person.
Every year I go to post office and buy A4 envelopes (5-6 pcs), A5 'return' envelopes and 10 baht stamps. Then fill addresses in envelopes, affix stamps to return envelopes, copy and sign passport, yellow book and forms, leave blank information which changes (like dates, departure cards). This is a small pile of papers and this is great if someone have copier nearby. But with all of this filling next 90 days takes just minutes then I drop mail at nearest post office
I usually send 90 days form and documents copy by EMS - to get signed confirmation, and get it back in return envelope. Do not forget to stick 10 baht stamp to return envelope.
As you still can get re entry permit at Airport, there is wise to not get it at immigration and save 4k unless you absolutely sure you will travel soon.
sure. This is one of the best advantages of Elite visa. You can get work visa if you like to work, and Elite still be valid as long as it not expired. If you don’t need to work anymore, then just switch back to Elite. Staff at Elite office explained this to me some time ago, the Elite program is not mixed with other Visa types.
you can try anything but what you will do with your records in MOE? New center will not provide you new visa and application will be rejected by MOE. Looks like you need to be enrolled to university for full program or get another type of stay like Elite, Business etc
I usually apply for another extension as soon as possible. For Bangkok 45 days in advance (day of application and last day of current extension included). The only important thing, if you need to be abroad while you on consideration stamp, you will need to buy single (in most cases) reentry, which will be valid only for consideration time and will occupy half page in passport... and of course you must return to Kingdom before consideration stamp expires and get full extension stamp in immigration on date of your appointment
In my opinion everyone who now on “amnesty” must leave by the end of July. Probably there will be some exceptions but in most cases if you on amnesty that means you are not non-immigrant visa or permission of stay holder, but just a tourist who was not able to leave the Kingdom because of border closures and flight restrictions
