Hi Everyone,

I am on my last leg of ED visa (first year) and it will expire on 31 Aug.

Is it possible to get the second year of ED visa with the same school same passport?

Thanks.

If not, what is the solution?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about the possibility of extending their ED visa for a second year using the same school and passport, as their current visa is set to expire soon. Responses emphasized that it depends largely on the school and suggested consulting with the school's administration for options. It was also advised to consider enrolling in a different course if the current one is ending.

, you're asking a question no one can answer. Should you enroll in the school you're in is a decision YOU have to make. Talk to the school, see what they say and then decide your course of action.

Depends on school.

The last leg? I guess you try to tell that the course you follow is coming to an end and therefor you do not get new Extension of Stay based on following this course, You can not get a second year of ED visa, you can find a school and a course which you like to follow and ask the documents from that school to apply for a new Non Immigrant ED visa, If you wish to stay longer in Thailand, choose an education for several years, not months.

sorry for not being clear.

I am studying thai in a language centre so the centre said they can help me apply for the second year ed visa but some students got rejected for the second year

So i am not sure if i should stick with this language centre or try a new language centre/ uni.

What is your opinion?

My language centre said an ED visa can be extended up to 3 years.

@Flossie *****
you can try anything but what you will do with your records in MOE? New center will not provide you new visa and application will be rejected by MOE. Looks like you need to be enrolled to university for full program or get another type of stay like Elite, Business etc

I would sit down with the language center and explain what you like.

If their visa could be extended up to 3 years, there is no need for a new visa, at least not for the next 2 years,

If they can help you to apply for a new visa, than let them help you,
