I feel your pain! Today was a total waste of time with K-Bank trying to get the correct documents for my extension. Tomorrow have to go to the Thapae Branch as they appear to be the only place that can issue the proper statement.

I am getting a non-o, one year, multiple entry. Next year will go with the 400k and marriage extension.

Laos Immigration charged me 1800 THB today for my Laos visa. Should be 40 USD!

Oanda conversion rate today shows that 1800 THB equals $52.44. I’m guessing that they think the extra is just a tip for their hard work.

Be careful with your overweight luggage!

I paid United/EVA Airlines $100 for each of our 3rd checked bags from Phoenix to Bangkok. Air Asia charged me $300+ to check the same 3 bags from BKK to CNX. I was flying with my two children (all of us had a 3rd checked bag) and the total was just under $1K USD. I’m sure that Kerry would be a much better deal.

It might have something to do with your age. I’m 75 and my card is good for the rest of my life. They might be thinking that I won’t be around in another 10 years.
