I’m trying to book an appointment at the Thai Embassy in Vientiane for a Non O visa. It appears that there’s no availability for the next month. However, there’s appointments available using the “All types of visa” option. What happens if I book using this option?

Answer summary

If you're unable to secure a specific appointment for a Non O visa at the Thai Embassy in Vientiane due to unavailability, you can select the 'All Types of Visa' option when booking online. Users have noted there's a glitch in the booking system that may prevent them from seeing available slots for specific visas. By choosing 'All Types of Visa', you should still be able to book an appointment. Keep in mind that the processing time is three working days from the date of application, so plan accordingly.

One thing to keep in mind is that the Vientiane Consulate has a three working day processing time (counting the date you apply as day one).

Examples;

Apply Monday morning, get the passport back Wednesday afternoon

Apply Thursday morning, get the passport back Monday afternoon

Apply Friday morning, get the passport back Tuesday afternoon

There is a glitch in the Vientiane online booking system and if you try to select a TYPE of visa to apply for it shows no openings. Select "All Types of Visas" and you'll be fine.
